Hi,

I have sent my application on 11-May-2010 to CIC, Canada. I have got some doubts, could anyone shed some light on this.

1. When do I receive AOR from them?

2. Do I need to start collecting docs from now (or) Shall i wait for their request to submit docs to local office.

3. If I had to wait, what are the main docs which take time to get?

4. Does it take time to get PCC certificate from Hyderabad and can anyone tell me the process to get PCC certificate from Hyderabad.

And when shall I apply this, i mean after getting confirmation to submit docs to local office or now itself?

5. Am planning to take IELTS exam after getting confimation. Is it ok?

1.) AOR: 60 to 75 days
2.) Start collecting the docs at the earliest. If you have lived in US, the FBI clearance takes most time.
3.) For list of all docs that you need to provide check the follwoing link and you can decide how much time it takes you to collect them

4.) PCC takes some time. I am not from Hyderabad but In india you can get PCC through SSP office or Passport office, time is around a month to get PCC. YOu can apply for PCC at the earliest

5.) Yes it is ok to take IELTS after AOR. It is better to take it earliest to save time

So by the time I get AOR its better I be ready with all docs except IELTS so that I can submit my application at earliest to local office.

60-75 days

Better as it will help you prepare the file in a better manner.

PCC from USA like FBI 1's

No not much same day or 1 -2 days

Once you receive the approval email it has all the instructions so do not worry

Yes it will be fine.

For PCC - "No not much same day or 1 -2 days"

Are you sure?

Actually I went to passport office today, they said it might take 15-30 days time.
