Post-AOR Step By Step

Hello everyone,

Am new here, residing in Perth Australia and was hoping if someone could advice me on what’s happening with my application. I mean what stage/what to expect.

I received ITA: 06/12/18

Applied for Permanent residency: 22/12/18

Paid every fee upfront and did medicals pre-application.

Received Biometrics collection letter: 01/02/19.

Did biometrics In Melbourne: 12/02/19.

Below is my current application status

Application status:

We are processing your application. We will send you a message when there is an update or if we need more information from you.

You may not hear from us for a little while, this is normal. Most of the progress on your application happens closer to your estimated completion date.


Review of eligibility:

We are reviewing whether you meet the eligibility requirements.

Review of medical results:

You passed the medical exam.

Review of additional documents:

We do not need additional documents.

Interview:

You do not need an interview. We will send you a message if this changes.

Biometrics:

Completed.

Background check:

We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information.

Final decision:

Your application is in progress. We will send you a message once the final decision has been made.

You are in the normal processing time. You just have to wait now.

I am from Bangladesh and my position is the same here. I have applied on 20th August 2018 and received AOR within an hour of submission. After that haven't got any update, even did not pass the medical. But my status showing pretty same with you " we are processing your background check. we will send you a message if we need more information". i don't understand which stage i am now.

Looks like you are in IP2 stage because of your message stated under background check. But don't pay too much attention to such messages these days as it solely relies on IRCC and only they know what stage you are in .

But it doesn't hurt to be hopeful!! So, going by your background check message your PPR request must be round the corner!
