"Canada ending 'Buffalo shuffle' for visas, closing consulate", CBC News
Hopefully it is a good news for us

The slow response from Buffalo was the huge volume of applications..With the tranfer of pending applications from Buffalo to NY VO wouldnt the same problem occur at NY VO as well? and also add more delays for the re-shuffle..This now looks like an endless wait.. :(

Just be optimistic!! I still see it very good news.

"Applications that are currently at the Buffalo visa office will be transferred to CPP-O (Case Processing Centre in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada) for final processing. Applicants are not required to contact CPP-O to ensure their application has been transferred. Applicants will be contacted at the next stage of processing or once a final decision has been made.", cic.gc.ca

I think CPP will be much faster than Buffalo.

Thanks for the update..Yes, lets hope it will be faster..

My application was filed in December 2010 and received PER in March 2011. As per trackitt, I see folks who filed their applications in November had their status changed from RBVO to inprocess over the last few weeks. Hopefully, I will see a change in status from RBVO to in process sometime soon.

For the first time ever my mailing address appeared in ECAS this morning. Status is still RBVO but I am seeing my mailing address for the first time in ECAS. Would this mean anything? Seniors please pitch in your thoughts..

same with me. not sure if that means anything.

My passport is back with the visa. Dates in my timeline on the left.
Good luck to everyone!
