Hi guys,
Pls count me in this thread too. My timeline is as below:
The wait is killing me. I hope to receive some news next year. Today I have to renew my passport, then after that I need to apply for new study permit, then a work permit, really a pain in the neck. If I don't hear from them soon enough, I will apply for the new phd category. Anyway, it will fall in hand of Buffalo in the second option too. WAKE UP BUFFALO!!!

CIO file receipt: March 3
Credit card withdrawal: April 5
PER: April 25
RBVO (Buffalo): May 3
IELTS: sent with package
PCCs: sent with package
In Process: waiting
Medical request: waiting
Visa: waiting

Did anyone post 26/6 applicant (Buffalo visa office) got request PCC+Medicals request?
I am still waiting since PER from Sydney CIO on 7 April 2011 ... and still RBVO ...

Anyone got further to PCC+Medicals request or "In Process" yet ?

Please share your experience!

Thanks,
Indus

I received the same response from them and my status is still RBVO. I noticed that they change status to "in process" and send medical request at the same time

same here, my application is RBVO since May 2011! How did buffalo visa office reply to you guys?
We sent them our address change mail and send case specific query to change our address but we got no response from them.
we are kind of worried that they are sending stuff in our old address..

I just sent them case specific enquiry and I got confirmation by email that my quary has been received by Buffalo office with in a few seconds and after three days I got the reply via e-mail from buffalo which I have mentioned in my original post.

Thanks.

Also I saw in your previous post that you have ordered CAIPS notes. Is it a govt regulated entity? I am thinking of approaching them.

CAIPS is basically a computer system which was used by visa offices abroad to keep track of immigration applications. Now they have modified this system and also changed its system and named it as GSMS. Under privacy act (implemented in canada) If you are living in canada then you can order CAIPS notes, which will tell you what has happened to your file. You can also order caips noets by authorising some one in canada. there is tons of information regarding CAIPS notes in this forum, you can just search in.
I think it will help you.

Hi Edmontonion204,

Apart from that the case is RBVO, what else will be mentioned on CAIPS report? Will CAIPS report provide further detail?

Thanks,
Indus

Hi All,

Coming back to the actual theme of this thread (status of Post 26/6 applicants who still have RBVO from Buffalo Visa Office). I again had a closer look at Immigration Tracker file (https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AiJy8Qu8lcQbdGxiSnNhME5sVi1uRlZtUWNhOEFwemc). It looks like all post 26/6 applicants to Buffalo, who applied before September 2010 have either got PCC+Medicals request, or already got immigration, within 9 to 10 months.

Applicants after October 2010, still seems to be in RBVO status. It looks like, Buffalo visa office has paused! Other visa offices like Paris, New Delhi are way faster than Buffalo visa office.

Hope we all at Buffalo visa office will receive good news soon!

Hi Indus,
I don't know exactly what will be in CAIPS notes. I think it will tell that what ever they did for my application eg. point calculation, background check or similar to it and also it will tell next bring forward date (BfD).
you can check the following link regarding CAIPS codes, that are usually mentioned in CAIPS notes.
http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/caips-codes-t59555.0.html

Hope it will answer to your question.
I will share the information once I get them.

Thanks!

Hi Edmontonion,

I am filling in the form to request CAIPS notes. I have question about filling in the CAIPS form (http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/forms/IMM5563E.pdf) ..

In section B, which one should I tick ... CAIPS or GCMS ? or both?

Which ones of the following should I tick?

- Visa file (information abroad) (includes CAIPS/GCMS)
- FOSS electronic notes (information in Canada)
- In Canada immigration file (includes FOSS)

Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks,
Indus

Hi Indus,
In section B, you can tick both and also you need to tick visa file (information abroad) includes CAIPS/GCMS
CAIPS is the old system of recording the progress on immigration files and then they updated it to a new system called GCMS.
hope that it will work for you
Thanks

Guys - Quick question. I need to update the address in my application. I know some of you have had problems doing it online. What's the best way to do it? Have any of you done it successfully? Thanks! :)
