Hi,
On the IM1344 form, the Application to Sponsor and Undertaking, Question 8 a) asks my sponsor's marital status. The options include 'never married' and 'common-law'. My partner has never been married but is my common-law, so I presume he only ticks 'common-law', not both?
Furthermore, 8 b) goes on to say 'Do you have a conjugal partner?' Now, since the definition of common-law is a conjugal partner with whom you have been living for a year or more, does he tick yes or no? Ticking 'yes' could imply that he has both a common-law AND a conjugal partner, but ticking 'no' could lead them to ask 'well how could you have a common-law partner if you don't have a conjugal partner?'!
It's one of those questions that could easily trip you up if you don't check...help me please!
Cheers guys,
Mia
