Hi Guys

How does WES assesses a diploma awarded by a polytechnic before its approval by AICTE?

In my case, I'd completed a 3 years diploma in April 1999 following the polytechnic's approval by AICTE in Jan 1999. Is it worth sending the transcripts for assessment? Will it be considered recognized? If yes, what could be the exact assessment?

Also, I have got another degree to get assessed. If the diploma can be awarded a 3 years of study, then I would end up having "Two or more degrees...".

Then try by appplying to it online for both of your qualifications ....you only have to pay one amount for both of your qualifications unless you are only one applicant ...and see if you can get ECA for both or atleast one of them....Hope that helps..

Your polytechnic diploma (after 10th) would be assessed by WES equivalent to Secondary School Diploma. This would not entitle you to select Two or More Degree option.

Agreed. After 10th diploma is equated to secondary school diploma. You can't choose Two or more degrees using it.

Another question.. What will be the degree's assessment? Original duration is 3 years but I'd done it through distance and lateral entry, i.e. 2 years. What can I expect?

The ECA is based on comparison of the transcripts you send WES to those sent to WES by your University. As your transcripts show '2 academic years', you may not get credit for a '3 year degree'.

Guys.. I came across this thread, where the OP says that his

1. 2 years equivalent for his 3 years diploma
2. 4 years equivalent for his lateral entry degree i.e. the original duration of the course is 4 years but he had completed it in 3 years.

If so, then my lateral entry degree will be given its full 3 years?
