Says the one collected all the government checks during Covid and did not pay a single penny tax money..
Now that the strike has ended, and jeopardized all the plans and everything, and that I am back to the US after 1 week of keeping my hopes high.. I expect (which is BS) for IRCC to be fair and hold the oath ceremonies at Canadian Consulates across the globe : Example : I travelled from the state side last week and get an email less than 24 hrs about the cancellation. It is injustice and unfair. Anyone received their rescheduled invite?
I think you're misdirecting your anger toward the wrong group of people. I would never wish anyone to be in a refugee position. I have friends and family that went to the Ukraine border to help and hosted refugees in their homes. I heard absolutely heartbreaking stories and I'm very glad to see Canada accepting refugees. If that means delaying my application by 6-12 months and paying for their flights here and saving a thousand lives, it's 100% worth it.
You can't speak of a refugee situation if you've never been in one.

I think it will take weeks, if not months to get another invite email.
Today and tomorrow's ceremonies were cancelled (maybe not all of them but some for sure), so I don't know what to say at this point, very confusing.
I didn't pay single penny tax money. I wonder how do you know that for sure. You must be a clairvoyant or soothsayer by profession.

I'm guessing they would need the entire week to get back in the swing of things and assess the backlogs. It will also depend on the office, but based on the link you've shared, rescheduling should happen sooner rather than later. Maybe they will schedule more in-person ceremonies too!
Just to clarify, I respect Ukrainians from the bottom of my heart, they way they are fighting for their country should be an example for other nations. My issue is with refugees who don't fight for their dreams and give up 20 years of spending western country's support and money over one night...
Not to deviate from my initial comment, I still don't see the reason for spending all these processing fees but still see years long delays... isn't the first priority of any government is to look after it's own citizens and make sure they recieve the services they pay their taxes for...
My personal guess would be:
1. Since there are in-person/video ceremonies scheduled until mid-May, they might prioritize the ones that were cancelled afterward, and that puts us to end of May/June, OR
2. They might not prioritize and those people will go back to the end of the waiting line, meaning 2-3 months or more of waiting
3. "Queeze" in the cancelled people in the existing/scheduled ones for the first weeks of May
4. Add new/extra ceremonies to make up for the cancelled ones - highly improbable.
Who wants to place their bets?
That is a good guess and theory. However, it is all so unpredictable. The only thing that I think is for sure - expect delays due to a backlog. This is something we learned from the pandemic. Everything will be moving slowly.My personal guess would be:
