I spoke with a friend who know someone that work with the IRCC Calgary zone, she said the idea she has is that people who got thier oath canceled due to the strike will probably get a backline reschedule. And they won't cancel already ahead of time scheduled ceremony if the strike is to be called off next week or anytime soon, some people actually had their ceremonies today even with the ongoing strike because not all IRCC workers are under the Union. You probably won't receive an email from them until a day or on the day of your scheduled date. It looks like they are rescheduling on a day by day basis because no one knows what will happen the next day. The strike might end tomorrow or next week, so they wouldn't want to cancel anything way ahead of time, at least that has been the trend so far. All we can do is hope and wait.
I sure do know IRCC don't Prioritize citizenship grant or PR Application for a fact and tbh this is just a bad timing for people who have their ceremonies at this point of time. hopefully the get a closer backline date if the strike should end anytime soon.
