Possible Oddity On Visitor Record (Question)

First off, thanks to all of you who reassured me about my entry in the last thread. I narrowly dodged a couple of torpedoes on it, actually, but now I know what I need for last time to be completely smooth. (Arrange travel insurance ahead of time...)

But, I just had to go to an urgent care clinic for a minor infection, and they tried looking up my information on the visitor record, only to find it showing as invalid. They said that normally there's a photo of the owner of the record placed in the corner, and mine doesn't have that. Now, I knew I wouldn't have Alberta Health benefits at this point. That just doesn't happen at this stage. But, it got me to wondering about the status of this visitor record nonetheless.

Did the border officer accidentally skip a step and not fully complete the record? Or is this something they just don't do for someone applying outland? If the former, how do I get this corrected?

Thanks,
Cvstos

AFAIK, there is no photo on the Visitor Record ( atleast in the extensions we've got in the past unless it's different ). They were not confused with COPR is it?

Are you in Alberta? If so, you can apply for Alberta Health Care (AHC) if you are in Alberta/Canada legally. My Japanese wife got AHC with just her visitor record (permit). Her AHC expires when her visitor record expires (it's written on her AHC card). My wife's visitor record does not have a photo, just her name, her UCI, validity of her record, and conditions she must abide by until she gets her COPR.

This is news to me. I thought I first had to be here for 6+ months nonstop based on my research. But, if what you say is true, that would be fantastic! Any relevant links? (Since my own research has clearly failed me.) I'm applying via outland to CIC.

Also, if others don't have a photo, then I think I'm ok record-wise. There IS on obvious place on the record for a photo, but if others don't have it, odds are it isn't needed. And since I'm not registered with Alberta Health they likely just couldn't find my info 'cause of that.

Thanks guys,
Cvstos
