So here's the situation...
One year ago I meet a Brazilian woman who was here on a visitor visa(she was here for 2 years already).
We feel in love, I moved her and her son (he is 20 years old now) into my home and we got married this past summer.

I found out that her visa had expired and she has an order to leave the country since last February ish.

Now she wishes to get a divorce and move back to Brazil. Her new found religious beliefs (Seventh Day Adventist) says that she must move back home to save her family from the second coming/apocalypse.

I am not willing to give up my home and my job to move with her,, and to her I am a son of Satan. So this is why she wants a divorce and says that I should give her $100,000.

I've seen a family lawyer and he said the most I would have to do is to pay her support of $80/month for up to 1 year. I know she will not go for that.

Things are becoming very hard to deal with at home as I am being constantly scrutinized, judged and slandered for my way of living.

I am still providing food and any other necessities for them both and I am getting further and further in debt.

I didn't want to make a call to get them deported but I feel I have no choice.
If I were to call immigration how long would it take to get her out of my home? And would this make things worse for divorce proceedings?

I'm lost with what to do, and I am starting to worry what she might do. She has already threatened me in various ways.
Please someone help...

Not really an immigration issue..get a good divorce lawyer instead.

If you're Satan (or one of his relatives) then your home is Hell. Tell her that Brazil is Heaven.... and she must get there soon before St.Peter closes the Pearly Gates LOL

Did you sign a prenup?

Do try to prove you are already separated even though you are living in the same house. It would help you to file for divorce

You shouldn't be going into debt to keep them happy in your home. I agree with @Bryanna. It is important to move ahead with the divorce. I would also start collecting evidence. Voice recordings, messages, etc. if she is threatening or demanding money. If you feel you are in danger call the police.

Well we got into another argument so I decided to the cops before it escalated. But unfortunately they suggested that I leave my own home to avoid her completely. They were very nice about it and told me to start collecting any evidence I can against her. But they were not able to remove her from my home. So now I'm in a hotel...

Quite unfortunate. Unless she gets a court order, you are free to move back into your home anytime you wish.... and maybe, you should. But, do be careful so that she does not accuse you of domestic violence.

You mentioned she has a removal order, right? If that's the case, it probably turned into a deportation order nearly a year ago. You might want to report her to CBSA for removal. Do call 1-888-502-9060 or 1-800-461-9999.

Do speak with a Family Law lawyer about filing a divorce (without separation). You might have the possibility to file on grounds of cruelty which is the exception for filing without the one-year separation requirement. However, a lawyer would be able to advise best

Thank you Bryanna. I will ask my lawyer about that. I just want my home and life back... I feel like she's been playing me from the very start...
