First of all I would like to thank anybody who takes time to read this thread and give me advice on this matter.

I'm a Hospitality Management student here in Vancouver. My course is a one year diploma that offers a pathway to universities for a degree, it was my original plan to continue studies and go that path to settle in Canada.

My course also offers the possibility to go on co-op after completion of studies, for 1 year. An assistant in my college told me that if I do the co-op and the company wants me to stay afterwards I can apply for a work permit and then somehow transition into PR.

Is this true? The company in question is the Fairmont and the Accorhotels group, they want me working with them.

They want you working as a co-op?

Company would need to get a LMIA for you which is unlikely but you can ask them if they are willing to do that.

Otherwise there is no work permit you can get other than the same pgwp as everyone else if you qualify.

Depending on how many points you have after that you might be able to apply for express entry.
