Hi!

I'm hoping to apply under CEC, just wondering if I'd be able to with my experience. I worked as a documentation specialist at RBC for 2 years, this is the job description:

Documentation Specialist

Responsible for the fulfillment and/or servicing of standard and complex client transactions, using extensive knowledge of related RBC products and services. Assumes ownership and personal accountability for resolution of any issues related to the specific group, function or process

Key Accountabilities:
Reviews CCR’s ensuring transaction details are clearly outlined/defined in order to prepare accurate documentation.
Accountable for the preparation and accuracy of Letter Agreements incorporating non standard wording ensuring all terms and conditions as outlined on an approved CCR are incorporated
Plays a key role in the mitigation of credit and operational risk related to standard/complex credit processes supporting Commercial Business Banking Centre’s lending services to business clients.
Responsible for enhancing the client experience through efficient and effective credit administration fulfillment for standard and complex Commercial lending products (letter agreements, security, authorizations etc.)
Provides consistent service within established benchmarks contributing to achievement of business Client Service Commitments (CSC’s)

Knowledge/Experience:
Knowledge of the Business Service Centre processes
Knowledge of the standard Letter Agreements
Strong knowledge of MS Word
Strong sense of urgency to meet daily deadlines
Ability to work under pressure/tight time frames to maintain a superior level of client service
Outstanding organization skills

The reason I'm asking this is because I can't apply under administrative duties any more, so I wonder if this would be close to that or of I'm good to go.

Thanks in advance!

Thanks! Another concern I have is that my work permit expires in August, would there be an issue with my timing? Would I likely have to leave the country? I am currently not employed and looking for another job.

Um... why not? Are you under the impression that the old occupational exclusions still apply? (They do not).

Unfortunately, documentalist is not classified as skilled (Level O, A, or B) - so it would not meet the requirements for CEC.

This is just wrong. This person has not applied for PR yet. They are NOT eligible for a bridging open work permit until they apply and receive an Acknowledgment of Receipt.

Wouldn't it be eligible under B, then (major group 12/13)? Judging by the duties possibly, or industry?

Sorry, meant to say as soon as you apply under EE and get acknowledgement, I hear this under EE is very quick, matter of days. So if you do a paper application you should be ok. However, you need to get ITA ASAP

Jes, a Documentation Specialist (Document Specialist) is a very skilled role, in some areas such as engineering these folks are very high up in the food chain, may be a VP.

I just did some research to get some data and it is right here on this forum some years back - you were part of that discussion. See:

Would this apply to my situation, though? In that thread, it was considered skilled because the company was Ernst & Young. Is it similar with RBC?

Don't you think RBC will be in the same league as EY?

Some may very well be highly skilled, others are (rightly or wrongly) classified as clerks. Anyone who is a VP is managerial. Managerial duties are not in the OP's job duties. You're going by a job title and equating that to something in your field.

You need to look at the job duties that the OP wrote.

I provided 3 NOCs, two of which were skilled ... you be the judge, or suggest another NOC that you think is appropriate.

You will note in that discussion, all 3 of the NOCs I suggest above were also discussed.

Bottom line for the OP - you need to match your job duties to a skilled NOC, otherwise you are not eligible under the CEC class...

Totally Agree with you. I am observing this guy replies form couple of months and just for sake of reply he does .
The way he treat forum members and reply that is not proper way ex: "you don't bring your wife and find some new one here."
It does not look decent in public forum.

I will not be surprised if he will start using some slang word or start abusing me also now in forum but I am ready for that .
few days back he pasted his GCMS note where he showed as some director. But never thought such a reputed position holder person can talk like this

Any way his life his wish
I wish him good luck for his PR journey
