Possibility of extending stamping date & Landing date ?

hi guys,

I need some help and guidance.

I just got an email from CIC London saying my application has reached the final stage of processing.
It says I need to submit relevant documents within 30 days of the email to enable visa to be stamped on my passport
it also says 25th of March 2014 will be the expiry date of the Permanent Residency Visa.

The challenges I have are as follows:

1) my wife and kids are away on holiday and wont be back to the UK until a day or 2 before the deadline for submitting our passports for stamping. Is there room to have this date amended? Has anyone experienced a similar situation?

2)is there any way of having the March 2014 deadline for entry into Canada extended? My daughter is in full time school and wouldn't want to disrupt that. ideally would want to relocate during summer next year.

Would really appreciate some help.

ad 1) From what has been written in the forum, I would e-mail them and explain the situation, and ask for an extension.

ad 2) The deadline for landing is usually 1 year from the date of medical examination and / or validity of passport, whichever comes first. Therefore, I assume that it is not possible to extend this deadline. However, others might have a different experience.
