What are the ways of getting PR in Canada?

I have 70 points but my profession is not listed in 38 so what are other possibilities?

I am also planning to Masters Canada for study.

According to the Minister's instructions, your application is eligible for processing if:

* you have an offer of arranged employment, OR
* you are a foreign national who has been living legally in Canada for one year as a temporary foreign worker or an international student, OR
* you are a skilled worker who has at least one year of experience in one or more of the occupations listed
on the 38 occupations list.

There are also other ways to immigrate to Canada, including joining a family member, investing or starting a business, studying or working temporarily, or through a provincial program.

What is the processing time for this category?? I am planning enroll in 1 year masters program in Canada. Will I have be able to get PR during my second year of stays (While working one year on work permit)?
If no, do i have to return to my home country while my PR is being process after 1 year?

- Finish your MSc. in Canada. Get post graduation work permit after completion of your degree. This will allow you to stay more than one year (maximum three years). And by this time you will be able to gain job experience hopefully, and can apply for permanent residence.

Hi everybody,
I applied for FSW last june, but my noc (2173) was not on the list. Now I'm thinking about doing a Masters in Canada, and after a year, apply for the Experience Class program. I would like to know if there would be any problem on getting a study permit because I had already applied for FSW. I certainly hope not, but I'm worried about it.

I am not sure but I will be able to apply for PR after 1 year of study, right?
I would like to know normal processing time for this category .

I would like to ensure that if I will be able to get PR while working at Canada (1 year) so that I do not have to return to my home county.
