Dear All , I hope this finds all of you well ,

I did my landing in Jan /2015 and I got my PR cards then I get back to Jordan to get done with my PhD as I am full time PhD student in my last year.
I got an offer from a Canadian company branch works in Jordan to work with them as full time employee.

I read that if I work in Canadian business I could count my days as permanent resident even if I am outside Canada.

My Questions are :

1- Who should I contact to confirm that information ?

2- Who could confirm that I cant or can count my residency states ? who would analyzes my situation and decide if I am eligible or not ?

3- What should I do regarding the taxes ? Where to send or submit the documents that confirm my state's ?

Thank you all for all kind help.

All the best.

HA

The job you have been offered doesn't qualify and you will not be able to count your days outside of Canada towards the PR residency requirement. There is no point contacting anyone.

For the days to count, you would first have to be hired for a permanent job IN CANADA by an existing company. At a later date - you would then have to be transferred to a role outside of Canada.

So again, you will not be able to count your time outside of Canada towards the residency requirement.

OPTION 2. Employment outside Canada

You may count each day you were employed outside Canada if your employment meets the following requirements:

you are an employee of, or under contract to, a Canadian business or the public service of Canada or of a province or territory and
as a term of your employment or contract, you are assigned on a full-time basis to:
a position outside Canada
an affiliated enterprise outside Canada or
a client of the Canadian business or the public service outside Canada

With all du respect There is nothing here said that I must be appointed in Canada first then move outside it.
