Hello,

I just have want to ask your kind help, I have an approved LMO and the work permit was already approved since February but the company advised me to wait for there signal until spring. The other day, I have called again the company, to be more precise with the date that I am going to Canada since I have already a replacement in my job. They told me that it would be on June onwards, but they are not that sure when. I have asked the management were I am currently working to worked with them until June, knowing and they have not hired that person who will be replacing my position since I will still be working with them until June. Prolonging my stay with my current employment they have given me a condition that I have to give atleast two weeks advise before I leave the company. All was settled, I have informed too the company in canada regarding the agreement i have with the company were i am currently working. Thus, everything was settled.

I have just received a letter from the company in canada now that i can go to canada in one week time and work with them. Which I can not do at the moment since, I have bound to an agreement to my present company to atleast advice them 2 weeks before leaving them. Entering in canada as a front desk clerk but when i will reach canada they will change my job position as restaurant server since the company can not pay for the salary of front desk clerk now. Is this possible? Else i will just wait until they will need me as a receptionist. but they dont know when they are going to need me... My question is during my waiting period of thier call is it possible for them to cancel my the job?

I would appreciate your kind help.

Thank you so much.

If you switch roles without obtaining a new LMO and a new work permit, you will be working illegally in Canada.

Hi scylla,

Thanks for your response. The company has told me that they are going to process the new job offer. My fear is if i will not accept their proposal and just wait for them to call me to occupy the position indicated in my contract is to cancel the job that are offering to me.
