P1-P2 received means approval for permanent residence?

Yes, it usually means your application for permanent residence has been approved . However, your immigration status will still remain as whatever your current status is until you get the eCOPR.

As far as I can see, AOR date is, in general, used to prioritize the issuance of eCoPRs. it looks like IRCC is currently issuing the ecoprs for those who received AOR in August 2024.
