Good afternoon everyone...so Friday hubby will complete his redo for the medical. We had to ask for an extension in time due to receiving the letter from POS so late. Im really hoping after this time will fly and he'll be coming home!!!

Hey everyone,

I am still here and waiting on that mother fugging office to request my PP. I am beginning to sense that they will ask me to re-do a 3rd set of medicals. That's right, Meds redo x3 because I shake friggen money off the trees in my yard to keep spending it on only medicals for CIC. It is fugging pathetic how they roll at that office. My two year mark since processing began have passed. I am still counting those days and months.

Here's to some fugged up crap I heard from the secretary at the office: "we don't have a program manager to sign off on documents right now so you will have to wait. However, we are in the process of hiring another program manager"

Are you trying to tell me that because they don't have a program manager there isn't an assistant or someone next in rank to do the job of the PM? It's just plain nonsense.

confused - that is the dumbest thing that i have ever heard. so all of our applications are sitting there waiting for someone to be hired to sign off on them that is crap. something needs to be done about this. they are forcing us to put our lives on hold and redo medicals and other stuff becuz THEY arent prepared? that is complete bull.

Guys we have to make a complaint to the higher authorities so this office can be audited. They do whatever they feel like, process applications whenever they feel like, reject whoever they feel like and does not base their decision on procedure.
Do you know they have the 2nd highest rejection rate in allll the offices in Canada? The Kingston office had crazy crazy processing times until they got audited by the Government and now they are bucking up! Something has to be done about this office in POS.

Did not know that they had such a high rejection rate, but I am sure that they are very skeptical of applications dont know why? they refused to accept a current birth certificate from me wanted one closer to when my son was born I found that to be funny since the info does not change

who can we write to to lodge a complaint on that office? I would be willing to get a number of signatures and send it to the minister.

Hey Everyone,

I am pretty much new to CanadaVisa Forum and I have an inquiry. Hope you guys can help.

My hubby, a Canadian Citizen is sponsoring my PR application. We sent in our application 12/2010 to Buffalo. It was processed 1/2011 (specifically 24/1/2011). Hubby's part for family class sponsorship of me was approved. Our file was sent back to me on 2/2011. I requested a file x-fer from Buffalo to POS 3/2011. Buffalo sent me an email in receipt of my application and file x-fer to POS on 30/3/2011. I did not directly send my file to the CIC office in POS because I was directed to send it back to Buffalo. We are now in August and I have heard nothing in regards to my PR application status or receipt of file x-fer to POS. I have checked online in regards to my application. It says a decision has been made for the sponsorhip application being that Hubby is elegible to sponsor me. However, in regards to the PR application status, it says not available. Not even in process or file received or nothing. Just not available. We sent an email to CIC in regards to my application as we are eager to start our lives together. Currently, we are waiting on a response.

How long does this process take?
How long do I have to wait again?
What does it mean when are application status says not available?

Does it mean POS never viewed our file yet? Haven't received our file yet? How do I know?

How do I know if POS received our file if they never sent me an email? (As noted previously Buffalo sent me email). I think Buffalo says I will have to contact POS in regards to my application but POS never even sent an email acknowleging the receipt of my application.

I feel sooooooo lost here.

Would absolutely love to get some feedback from you guys.

Hi and welcome Admirable!

The current processing time thru POS is 14mths. After your file is transferred to POS you are supposed to receive a letter (ie Acknowledgement of Receipt) stating that your file was received at POS(bet 2-4mths after file transfer). From reading this forum I have noticed that some ppl don't even get this letter, but it doesn't mean that their file hasn't been received or being worked on.

As for ECAS stating 'not available' some persons see updates and some don't. Again it doesn't mean it isn't being worked on. Sending an email to POS was good and I hope you get a timely response.
