Thank you for the info, would u happen to know when hes flying home to me in canada. Do they require the original marriage cert or is a copy and a copy of my passport sufficient to get exempted into the country?

When he gets back his passport with visa then he can fly.
I'll be flying soon so for us I will be taking the original copy of the marriage certificate just to be on the safe side with immigration.

Has anyone received any word of a possibility of having their interview by Zoom or phone call from POS? We are still awaiting an interview (it was cancelled for March 23 as COVID hit). We have money tied up in flights and with the pre-paid live interpreter, but I am hoping that things will eventually start moving again.

Hey All - I am one of three women with a spouse waiting on an interview in POS. Our spouses are from Cuba and we have all been in the sponsorship process more than 2 years. Our interviews were cancelled in March due to COVID. We have had no news on "Plan B" since then - but yesterday I received an email from the High Commission in POS saying that they still didn't even have a Plan B. Are there any other people out there with spouses from a country other than T&T that are waiting on an interview? If so, please reach out to me through the chat. We are thinking of writing a group letter to the Immigration Committee of Parliament to express our concern at the wait.

I am one of three ladies that sponsor our husbands from Guyana we are still waiting for interviews dates as well, the last time I received an email from POS, they were no travels from Guyana to Trinidad, as of this date flights are resuming are also waiting. Hopefully we can get good news next month .

Our file was completed in mexico, my husband lives in trinidad. Trying to figure out how long the passport takes to come back to us. I am so excited this process is coming to an end. Its been so hard on all of us!
