Just wanted to give up an update today my hubby got a call and e-mail from POS request him to submit his passport. I am go excited that I can't even explain. It looks like things in POS is finally moving. I will keep you all posted on any updates.

I Finally sent off the additional information that the Visa office in Trinidad had requested, the packet was sent express mail and was received and signed for at 10AM on May 18, 2011 at the visa office. Keeping my fingers cross that they will ask for any more info.

question: does the POS visa office send out receipt letters to applicants? i was told that some other visa offices dont send them so i was curious to know if POS does

Yes they do I received a letter acknowledging the receipt of our application

Hello Forum Family,

Well i have an update!!! My hubby got a call from the embassy today stating that the permanent resident visa has been issued and that he can come pick up same on Monday.

I feel as though a weight has been lifted off my shoulders. It has been a very emotional journey and i'm so glad that it has come to an end. I had alot of people praying for us.

Thank you to everyone who helped me along the way and answered all my questions.

Good luck to the rest of you on here that is still waiting. Your turn is just around the corner
