My husband called and got through...the lady who answered asked him if we had a lawyer. She said that any requests or instructions would be faxed or e-mailed to our lawyer.

I don't know Can4Vincy - this whole process is really draining on me. I just want to know when its going to end. I would go insane if they tried calling us and couldn't get through and what if we get one of the IO who don't bother updating ECAS and just closes our file for lack of response.

Trust me...I am the most impatient person!! This process is indeed the most frustrating thing in the world!! I wonder how any of us function on a daily basis. Curious to know though...do you have a lawyer? If not then what contact numbers did you put on your application?

Girlfriend all i do is sit at my desk and think of immigration and check ECAS like a maniac. My job requires me to be focused but all i can think about is when this whole nightmare will be over. I miss my husband something terrible, its not fair to be away from the person you love. My friends just keep telling me to be patient and let it run its course, but that's easier said then done.

I don't have a lawyer, i did all the paperwork myself. As the sponsor i put my phone number, email address etc. For my hubby's contact, i put his cell, home and email address. The only problem is he's working overseas right now and that cell number he can't be reached on. His home phone number doesn't have voice mail. So if they tried to call and no one was home.....i don't know??

I just got the stop worrying speech from my husband....lol. So I will tell you the same and I would think if they couldn't get through one way they would attempt to e-mail. To help cope with things we like to try to imagine what it's gonna be like to get the word that everythings approved, then plan out how it's gonna be and feel to see each other again.

my hubby tells me the same thing! But i come from a long family of worriers. We worry about everything. LOL

Yes, i often think about the day when we get the good news - god willing. I pity the person who will be standing next to me, cuz i'm going to let out the loudest scream known to man!!!!

This thread seems to be very quiet, has anyone received Initial Assessment or PPR's request from Port of Spain Recently we received AOR about 2 weeks ago how long before we should see in process or received IA

Im new to the forum....application filed on the 16th of March. I received the sponsorship approval letter on the 20th of April.

Hi Berbician! I thought something happened with you, hadn't seen you back on the forum! Were still working out dates, so i'll let you know.

As for me, nothing new to report. Its now been over 1 month since our status changed to "In Process". I'm really hoping to hear something from POS by the end of this week or hopefully by next week.

I hope everyone enjoyed their Easter weekend. Let's keep positive, i feel good things are going to happen ---- hopefully soon!!!

Well no news here either. 5 weeks since the interview and 2 weeks in process. Still waiting and growing more impatient by the day. Hope everyone had a great long weekend. Praying with everything I have that someone gets news this week it's been awhile.

@Cruise30 I am not able to send personal messages for some reason. But I am good, trying to be positive during this stressful process. I e-mailed POS this week, so I have to wait to see what happens.

My friend's wife got her visa this week from the Kingston office which was good news. Funny think he said that she never received an AOR, however he sent a number of e-mails to the visa office, they told him to not contact them for 60 days, then one day about two weeks ago his wife got a call to bring in her passport, birth certificate and marriage certificate, and she got a call this week to come and pick up her visa. !!!!

I hope my hubby has the same luck !!!! and the rest of the forum

Question has anyone on the forum tried contacting there MP?
