Hello every1, just wanted to touch base and see how everyone is doing. Have you had any new updates or success stories to share ?? As for myself the last we have heard was the AOR that my hubby received in the beginning of Feb stating that his application has been rec'd in Trinidad and they will be processing it. The ecas status still shows application rec'd Jan 14 with no new updates....is this normal ? Congrats once again to those who have made it to the end of this long, annoying, hard process.

Still waiting :'(

CAIPS should come this week. Will see what is happening.

I must say @ confused my hat goes off to you....after reading most of your posts and knowing how long you've been in the process you are handling it way better than I would. Keep the faith going

LOL thanks Oneday.

I have realized that there really isn't much I can do but just sit back and wait out the processing. Some days I feel as though I am going insane and other days I feel that it's coming to an end. All in all, I try to keep myself occupied not thinking about the entire process. It will be over and done with for all of us sometime in the future, nah?

It's almost 2 years since my application has been in process and it feels like nothing to me. However, going back two years and thinking those two years ahead in the future would have driven me insane. I guess we have to keep faith and hold strong throughout this process.

Time will heal.

Hi Everyone,

I am new to the forum, after reading some of the stories I realize that I am not the only one stressed out and anxiously waiting to get some answers from POS. My husband is in Guyana, my application for sponsorship was approved in Dec 2010, then forwarded to POS. My husband received a letter from POS in January stating that they received his application for PR and if he does not heard from them in 6 mths then he should contact them. Since then the ECAS update says " The application for permanent resident was received on Dec 15, 2010, medical results received, and nothing since. Final $490 was sent to CIC, received a letter in February 2010 stating that they have forwarded final payment info to POS, still nothing , all I can do is wait patiently, but somedays I am good then other days its very hard.

Does anyone know if we are anywhere close to get an answer for POS based on past experience?

Welcome aboard the waiting train Berbician.

Not to make you scared or anything but your application is under standard processing at POS. You have to give it at least 6 months from the time they started processing it to know whether or not where you stand (interview required or not). Your letter from them in January is their standard Acknowledgment of Receipt letter which states in 4-5 pages that your application has been received at the office and they have started processing it. You are still young in the process and don't let the wait cause you any harm. Some of us have been waiting longer than others. Just keep faith and everything will work out when the time is right.

Keep in mind that the normal processing time for POS to complete Spousal applications is around 12-15 months. As long you fall under that time frame there really isn't much you can do but hope and pray you get a super nice IO that will see your rship as the most genuine one in his/her pile and thus, push for fast approval under 6 months.

Do you mind telling us a little about your sponsorship background such as if there is any complications with your application such as divorce, children from different parents, immigration matters, etc?

Just want some feedback. My husband rec'd the general AOR in Feb from POS and I have since checked the status online and there have not been any updates all it is saying is Application rec'd Jan 14.

Don't fret over it too much oneday ... it's standard procedure for POS .... my e-CAS has been stuck to

" We started processing your application on August 12, 2009, Medical results have been received, An interview has been scheduled for September 2010"

ENDDDDDD

That is totally screwed up !!! However mine doesn't even show anything about the medicals, etc. and they were all submitted with the application.

LOL ..... I wouldn't fret too much over it.

e-CAS is such an unreliable tool for some Visa Offices and I think POS is one of them.

I think also that it really depends on the VO. Majority of them do their own internal work and hardly post updates on e-CAS :S

Arggghhhh..... I really wish this office gets a serious internal audit to get their asses working.

Well...this is the end to the most stressful day of my life. My husband is back in St Vincent from his interview today. Nothing to do but wait some more. All and all it went well its just crazy that they dont give back any information or answers to your questions lol.

Thank you ONEDAY...our lawyer keeps saying how quickly things are moving too. It doesnt feel like it at times but I really hope it continues.

CONFUSED..He came back saying it went well was able to answer everything with ease. They just said they were waiting on a document they requested for fingerprints. Not from us but I dont know from who. He did ask questions as to how long it would be from here in and was told once they receive the fingerprints we will be notified of the decision. It seems she had no major concerns.
