Hello everyone!
This message is for "ALO" and "Charlie"....
Okay, so in my own personal situation, my husband also has kids from a previous relationship. The children do not have their passports either. To get a passport in Trinidad takes at least 2 yrs, unless you can squeeze into a cancelled appt somewhere. So what we did, is take the children to a DMP that would perform the medical without seeing the passports. We went to San Fernando and they took the kids on just birth papers. On the application we included them and said they wouldn't be accompanying. We also attached a letter stating the reason for not providing the passport information and instead included copies of their birth papers. I called the CIC number and they said that would be sufficient. So that's what i did. Everything passed go in Mississauga.
Charlie: Are you saying there could be a problem at the Embassy in Trinidad if the kids don't actually have a passport? Now i'm a bit worried
