Star Apple:

Sorry to hear of your husband's denial, I cannot imagine the heartache you are both feeling right now!

If he was denied only on those grounds, I recommend you get a lawyer on your case immediately. You need someone familiar with the process to guide you through this, and you have a very limited window in which to notify that you wish to appeal so you can be scheduled for a hearing.

Since the IO did not apparently question the bona fides of your relationship, it would be a matter of getting your husband's pardon and rehabilitation sorted out. You definitely need legal guidance, you could even try the hosts of this forum (Campbell Cohen) for assistance.

I hope you can act quickly and get some assistance. Best of luck to you.

So sorry to hear about this devastating news Star Apple. I can only imagine what you and your husband is going through. Do get a PROPER, QUALIFIED IMMIGRATION LAWYER to appeal your case ASAP. My prayers are with you.

So family,

We're still waiting on these people over there to send back my Hubby's Guyana passport with the beautiful Canada visa on it :-\

I wonder how long it'll take them on this one. They requested the Passport, 1 passport size photo and the redo of his medical, then weeks after emailed him to submit an police clearance... It's been about 4weeks since he sent in the passport, photo and redo medical and approximately 2weeks this Friday for sending in the police clearance.......

Has anyone had this issue with POS? with them requesting documents one after the other? and how long does it take for them to finalize all this and give you back the passport with the visa and your documents?

Please do help! :'(

Thank u for understanding how we feel. I have already contacted a lawyer & he'll start the appeal tomorrow. Im just going to continue to pray. God will see us through these hard times but what really is sad is that we just had a baby girl & she hasn't met her daddy yet. So I'll have to bring her to see him.

gosh....

No amount of words will heal the pain you ust feel star.. esp since you recently had a baby girl and knowing that you have to wait for your husband to be with you bec of immigration barrier. Keep strong and never loose faith.

I myself was rejected last July and is still waiting on an appeal date, so I can tell you "YES" it is very hard and frustrating at times but hope, the support of your love and almighty is what keeps us sane.......

take care of yourself and the babe............... EVERYTHING will be alright!!! ;)

So question,

do i need to send anything in regards to my job...like proof of income or something like that. someone was telling me that i need to send in a copy of my finances even though it is not necessary for him to be able to come her....i am looking to send out my stuff next 2 weeks so i am just going over all my papers and making sure that i have everything that i need.

Alo, even though spousal sponsorships are exempt from income requirements, you can still be denied if the IO thinks you cannot support him and he cannot become self-sufficient and you will have to resort to welfare. That is why you need the Option C to show your income for the year.

Include a job letter stating your position and annual income, or your payslips for the past 12 months, if you have any doubts.

thanks very much. called and got that done one time thanks.

I have spent weeks reading and trying to collect info from this forum..and let me say there are some people here with a whole lot of knowledge. I just found out today that my husband will be interviewed at the POS center on the 23rd of march. Never felt this nervous and excited at the same time. They say they need more information and documents regarding his non-accompanying dependants. We originally applied Sept 17th to Miss. Trinidad received our file on november 1st. Congrats to everyone whos made it through this crazy process. Its been the most heart wrenching thing in my life. Very much comparable to a roller coaster ride.....i hate roller coasters lol. Thanks 4 reading

Hi Can4Vincy! Welcome aboard :) out of curiosity how did your husband find out about the interview? Did he receive a letter/phone call?

Thanks!

We are going in with legal representation so our lawyer received a letter from POS...and the Ecas updated was yesterday as well.

Thanks for the response.

This question is for anyone who would like to respond.

My ECAS showed that our file was received on such a date and that the medical was also received. Now it just shows the date the file was received. They removed the medical sentence. Is that normal? Does that mean anything? Help!!!!!! :(:(:(

Hi Cruises. . .the e-cas thing happened to me as well, and several others on this forum. Apparently, CIC is updating their system. . .AGAIN.
