Thanks for the info links :). I just found it kinda strange that we had submitted everything with the application and they were requesting the same documents again from my husband.

Happy valentines day to everyone !

Hey forum,

How is everyone doing? Happy Heart day to everyone in here even if you are far away from your one and only love.

I was away for quite sometime and noticed there has been quite a few things happening in here. Well, congrats to everyone who's made it through the process. I am here still hanging there, waiting on CIC.

@ Honey, you are leaving to live with Hubby this week, nah?

@ Links, hang in there ... luck is sometimes in our favor with this process. Have you any idea why they only started processing your application this month when they have received it since back in September?

@ oneday, that letter is your AOR (Acknowledgment of Receipt) from CIC-POS indicating that your file has been received and in process now. You can ignore the things they are asking for once you know that you have submitted everything in that letter with great confidence.

I really think there is some crazy backlog at the POS office and it's about time the Government runs an internal audit to see what the heck is happening. I have been to that office in POS and it's one heck of a huge building mainly dedicated to IMMIGRATION. I don't know why they are taking forever to do their jobs in comparison to other small offices. It really bothers me that they take this long.

This is my little rant for the day :S

@ confusednscared...was wondering what happened to you..glad all is okay...
I really don't know why it only started this month. But i am of the view it is still within routine time since it says they 'started processing' i would take this to be at the stage before issuing a visa. I'll just keep monitoring it and post updates as it comes...

Stressed,

I don't know why it is taking them this long to send you your letter. I would inquire on my case and keep bugging them. Has e-CAS changed to anything for you? Have you tried re-ordering a new set of CAIPS notes? Perhaps your IO could have made a mistake and put wrong information in your CAIPS as a refusal. It usually doesn't take them that long after the refusal to send the letter. You would have already had the hard copy in your hand.

I really would try everything to the best of my ability to get in touch with them. This is definitely ridiculous the way they are handling certain cases. I am very upset at the office for the way they treat applications coming out of Guyana. I still haven't had any correspondence from the office since my interview either. I have tried emailing, calling, even went to the office and made an inquiry and still NOTHING. Speaking of great CUSTOMER SERVICE!

Do keep us posted on any progress.

Oh, I see ....

Listen, you may want to also get a PCC for TT if you have lived there for over 6 months. Does CIC know that you live in TT?

They will need to see PCC for each country you have lived in for more than 6 months. Just my understanding of how the process works.

I did submit one for GEO and T&T but what happen in my case is that i took out the GEO in Feb 2010....and the TT in march 16th 2010....Thanks for the concern but i had already thought about doing the TT one over as well....
Yes CIC knows that i reside here for over 1 year legally......if not they would not have processed my file in the POS office...they would have sent it to GEO for processing...

I hope that in next couple of weeks we will see you on the final lap as well....but i must thank you for opening up this forum it was very informative and gives one cues in order to make projections based on other applicants and their timeline....

Good afternoon everyone, hope its been a great day so far. Just wanted to say thanks for the info you have provided.

@links and everyone else who has made it to the end congrats and I wish you all the best of luck ! :D
