I'll try the notes. But I have a representative (a lawyer). I read somewhere that that limits u a bit when enquiring. Does the lawyer have to do the notes? Does anyone know.

Why did you get a lawyer?? they are 100% waste of time...I work for a Law Firm and I can tell they are useless because they are not working on your file. Their assistance work on it and most of the time they are incapable and just rack you up with an necessary bill. What is the name of the Law Firm if you dont mind me asking. Anyways, I would still order it without the lawyer, because every time you call your lawyer office they document billable and they charge you for every damn thing. And, I sure hope you didn't retained a west indian...

Anyway, try ordering yourself, it will be $5. and see what the notes says...I order the notes two weeks ago.

OK I'll talk to the wife and get the ball rolling on the Notes. We decided to get a lawyer because of our previous experience with the inland application that we tried before. I know its costly we feeling it as we speak.

Hey All

I have a concern, not for me but I have concern for a friend of mine. I/we are Canadian citizens and I know I should just carry on with my business but I don't want to see a friend being hurt. I joined this forum just to ask.

My friend met this guy from Trinidad and in just a little over 8 months they're about to get married next week, she is about to travel there to Trinidad and marry this guy, I told her not too because it can be a mistake, but she keeps saying that they're in love. I'm always happy for my friend but it think he is using her. He suggested that they marry and that she sponsors him to come to Canada in a couple months. My questions are.

Is it possible that he can marry her so soon and move here in little as 7 months? What if he leaves her, will she be still responsible as a sponsor for him? Is there anywhere I can at least warn our Canadian officials that this may be false? **this may be a bit extreme but, my guts feels strongly about this, sorry, if I appear bitter** im always happy for her but something seems wrong. I was not invited, im told they will sign before the courts there and she will use that to file for him. One other thing, he has family here, but they could not bring him over because he is older than 18. Does this sound false to anyone else or should I just stay out of it?

Your help please

Jasmine

Jasmine,

It is very sweet of you to look out for your friend's best interest. here is a link where you can read up more about conditional permanent residence. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/department/media/backgrounders/2012/2012-10-26a.asp

Also, when I started communicating with my husband 8 years ago, everyone told me that he is marrying me for PR card. He has LOTS of family here and they all wanted him to come of course. I recently married my husband and i must say he is doing VERY well in his home country and has no interest in Canada. He is only coming here because I refuse to move back without him giving it a try in Canada.

Had I listen to all those people in the past I probably wouldn't have been married to my husband. It family loves me and treats me with lots of respect and kindness. God forbid that my relationship does work out with my husband I have no regrets because he is my first love, first relationship and I love him dearly.

Where I am going with this is, your good intention may cause you to loose a friend, because in my case I dropped everyone that created doubt about my relationship in the past it even though I had asked them to respect my relationship and not to pry.

If you spoke to your friend once and she is firm on her decision, my suggestion to you is to support her and let her know that whether it works or not you will be there for her.

Hope this helps.

I understand you are very concerned for your friend given the facts you have mentioned, I would be concerned too.

My advice would be for you to stay out of it. You have expressed your worry and concern to her, she heard you and it is her decision if she wants to listen or not...I don't think it is your place to go behind her back and report to immigration just because you FEEL it is not genuine.
Many people have met and married within a few months and have had more genuine loving relationships than some people that have been together for years....you need to allow her to walk her own path.

Wish her well and pray that she has met her life partner in this man, regardless of the time frame.

No it didn't even expire yet ,they just don't seem to have it even though they sent me an email acknowledging that they did. To make matters worse I sent it in without making a copy for my own records but I did have a picture of it so I sent that and we applied for another one just in case and sent a copy of the receipt. They then sent me a "Final Request" email pretty much saying we have 30 days to get the record to them or they have the right to reject my app. Since this process started I've sent in 2 PCC with a 3rd on the way each one took like 2 months to receive. I asked for an extension not sure if they will allow it or not. My family is falling apart After a year of not being together I'm contemplating if I should just move to Trinidad. Sorry for my rant lol I just want it to be over

OMG, u're not ranting at all...I am going through the same and i was contemplating moving back and was doing the math to see if it really worth it...It is definitely hard. If, I were you I would have your MP office request a longer time because they seem to respond better when you have the MP office contact them...I mean by the time you request it...it takes about 1 to 2 weeks to get it then to mail it to them it takes time and they dont want scanned copies they want the original.

THIS IS SOOOOOO MESSED UP! because they can start working on it pending the original.....UGH but nope they need the original in hand....I am sooo scared with the one from cuba just in case it comes back to me or not get to them in time or lost in the mail god forbid.

OMG WTH with POST OF SPAIN....MY PCC which was mailed is being returned to me and i am running out of time WTFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF i am going to loose my mind.
