Congrats ryanr & lodging... Happy reunion

All,

Package arrived, Passport, landing papers, and additional SPAN documentations about landing.
All is in good order.

but true say....that visa sticker on the PP page looks might fine and sexxy!

*sighs* now ceremonial wedding planning...*(the real scary part)

Its a positive thing for me, and one for you. That means one less douche (me) to process in PSPAN, and more cycles to process yours.

Yay! Very happy for you!

Can someone please help me. So I sent my passport to Trinidad via FedEx on Thursday. I told the guy at the desk I wanted a prepaid envelope to be sent as well. I'm not sure how it works. He told me to fill out another form with my address as the receiver. He placed the form in the envelope with my passport and sealed it. After paying $113 I asked him what about the return of my passport he said when the visa office sends it back I will pay here. But I'm now wondering how would they send it back without the envelope. Please help. How can I get my passport back to me and can I call them about this matter ?

My guess is that they will probably use one of their own envelope and put your address on it from the form you fill and once its sent back to you, you will have to pay when you pick it up.

WaitingSince2012 is on the right track.

From my experience (just last week) when my package returned

I sent a letter sized FedEx envelope (cardboard material) for the returned passport. I even affixed the waybill to it. When I received the package back 2 weeks later, they used their own 11x17 plastic envelope, with the original FedEx envelope I sent, plus a DHL envelope (not sure where that come from - as both UP AND DOWN I used FedEx), plus my original returned envelope, AND all of this was placed with a manila envelope with the passport and landing document.

You will probably end up doing a COD (Cash on Delivery) upon return of your package with your documents. Meaning once the package returned with whomever the company is, they will hold the package until you pay a fee.

Depending on if you intercept the package on the first attempt, you can pay the delivery person as they may have a POS (Point of Sale Terminal) where you can pay debit, or credit right there on the delivery spot.

Other times if you missed the delivery, they may try again, or they may have you go to a local depot office, and pay on the spot there. At the depot, they may accept cash (not very often), other times they will request debit, and or credit.

Cheers,

Ryan

When we sent our passports, I only sent a return airway bill, no envelope. My local FedEx guy said that they will get an envelope when they arrange to send the package back. So the return airway bill had my address etc. and the price I paid when I sent the passports included the return cost.

Hello All,

Anyone have ideas of how they will transition their loved ones once they arrive in Canada?
It's been burning me up to decide on the best way to do this, and less stressful for my wife.

I really don't know what I should do...
I know she will be sad leaving all of her family in NJ/NY - with only an uncle here. I know they will visit her, and her mom will probably come and stay a bit.

The NY/NJ lifestyle is different, from Toronto. So time to "acclimatize" to a Canadian lifestyle will be a process by itself.

Has anyone thought of this?

Cheers

Ryan
