Honeybird,
in the letter that my wife received, it states that their initial assessment of her PR application is
good, but only after receiving her passport, that they would make their final decision, and they gave the
range of 2-4 weeks to make their final decision, as confused mentioned. One thing that I failed to mention,
I have not made the RFPR payment as yet, I will forward the payment tommorow express mail to CPC-Mississauga,
and should be in Trinidad in a week and a half, only after receiving the fee, then they would accept he passport.
I am hoping that in two weeks, she'll be making her way to the Trinidad office to drop off her passport. I don't know
why I didn't pay the all the fees up front, because that is delaying me about three weeks.
k thanks for the info. my hubby paid all the fees upfront...i feel sorry for him cause he still has a high outstanding credit card bbill from fees for this and multple trips and so forth. but when you think about it, your wife will need a couple of weeks to prepare to move up. i will need a month cause i have to give in a months notice here and i have alot of financial stuff to tie up and my insurance agent has been ducking me for a while now.

OK, well there still is time ... your magical feather may be right :)

IMHO, I think your additional information would make them delay a tad bit on processing you out because they will need to go through it to try and find flaws.
the additional info was submitted in the last week of september. so they had a whole month and half to look at it. plus it was not very much! just like 2 inches thick of info.

Honey man, ur too jokes ah tell yuh. Only 2 inches thick of information, eh?

Remember too, they may only look at that info on your next BFD. BTW, mine was yesterday .... still nothing. I sent an email to them about a few weeks ago but still haven't got a response from them just yet.

And not forgetting the expense to make payments and trips. Arggghhhh ....... it's just too much at times man. I guess this is why we work. Work to only pay bills and live in expense upon our imaginations.

TO EVERYONE ELSE

When you all have your visas to migrate, are you all migrating to Ontario? If so, which part? I will be going to North York.

So, your wife isn't in Trinidad right now Mancrab?

I guess you have never ordered her CAIPS notes to see what they have done so far in her file. I am beginning to think if they have already completed her background check too. Are her meds up to date?

One advice I can give you re: the RPRF, if you have time today you should make a quick trip to the bank and do the payment or you can do so online as a matter of fact once you have a credit card. Online payment is much easier but you have to choose CPC-M as the office it's being sent to. Once you get the confirmation receipt that it's paid, I would quickly Fax the receipt the receipts to the POS office letting them know that it has been paid. Maybe do an email too. Be sure that whichever path you are taking you keep both CPC-M and POS in the game and not try to create any confusions between both offices.

I think you can also Fax the receipt to CPC-M if I can remember properly.

One other thing, does your wife have the new machine readable Caricom Community passport for Trinidad? It's the new blue passport they give all Caricom nationals. I know for GEO, they do not stamp visas in passports unless it's the new machine readable passport.

Anyway, good luck and you better work on getting that payment in ASAP.

Confused,
not sure how to get the CAIPS note, have only been looking for updates on e-cas using my client ID, her 'B' file # and her UCI #.
My wife lives in Trinidad, and I am in Toronto. She does have her new passport. The PR fee should be in the hands of CPC-M by late tomorrow.

@ Patroya, Etobicoke is not bad. I don't think I have really had much dealings in that area.

@ Keep, it's not that far from Wilson Station, how about you?

@ Mancrab, CAIPS takes about 6 weeks and costs $5 CDN to apply and process. You need to download the form from CIC's website or you can google it, have your wife sign a "release of information" and submit both the CAIPS request and wife's release of information to Ottawa. It doesn't cause any delays or anything with your application that is already in process.

Two thumbs up on getting that RPRF sorted out :)

Faith,
sent initial package to CPC-M, June 14th, then package from CPC-M sent to Trinidad July 28th, my
wife got her AOR letter in Trinidad dated Sept 14th, and today she received a letter dated Nov 15th,
requesting her passport, so 5 and a half months so far.
