Hello Honeybird,
I have excellent news from my end, my wife called me this morning and she got a letter informing
her to bring her passport and immigration photos in. The letter was dated 15-11-2010, and she has 60 days to bring
in her passport, I am so excited, I hope that you have the same joyous news for us today also. The office in Trinidad
is working after all, they heard our outcries.
CONGRATULATIONS! :) I REALLY HOPE I GET IT !!

Friends,
thanks for the feedback. It's been a gruelling past few months, emotionally taxing, but God prevailed
again. Hope to read about equally good news from each one of you on here.

In GEO we does say "wen yuh ready fih $hit den yuh does run guh build yuh toilet"

I guess slacking off for CHC-POS staff is about to come to an end because it's December and they are yet to meet their yearly quota and they need to push through some more applications to keep up with Gov't stats. So, I think there will be a few more good brown envelopes in the mail for us.

Uggghhh, the brown envelopes ... it's such a depressing color .... why couldn't it be some other color ... like PINK ... LOL ... kidding.

I am feeling great joys of excitement now. It's about god darn time they put aside those Haiti applications and give some credit to the POS ones.

When you apply for a Visa at POS, do they do same say issuance? I think they take 2 weeks to return the PP unless they do same day issuance.

At the GEO office once you submit your PP, they give you a date to come pick it back up. It usually takes them about 2-4 weeks. Some other applicants are asked to include a paid return courier envelope for the VO to send the PP back.

We will know definitely once Mancrab gets his :)

Nah, I think my partner will pee his pants instead because all my correspondence is to my home address in Canada. I think too this is one reason for delayed response from the office because from VO told me that mails get sent in a bag to Ottawa which sits in Ottawa to be mailed out by Canada Post.

I would much rather get correspondence via email. Makes life easier and saves a lot of trees :)

My CAIPS notes should be on its way in the next couple of days to week.

OK, well there still is time ... your magical feather may be right :)

IMHO, I think your additional information would make them delay a tad bit on processing you out because they will need to go through it to try and find flaws.

Honeybird,
in the letter that my wife received, it states that their initial assessment of her PR application is
good, but only after receiving her passport, that they would make their final decision, and they gave the
range of 2-4 weeks to make their final decision, as confused mentioned. One thing that I failed to mention,
I have not made the RFPR payment as yet, I will forward the payment tommorow express mail to CPC-Mississauga,
and should be in Trinidad in a week and a half, only after receiving the fee, then they would accept he passport.
I am hoping that in two weeks, she'll be making her way to the Trinidad office to drop off her passport. I don't know
why I didn't pay the all the fees up front, because that is delaying me about three weeks.

So, your wife isn't in Trinidad right now Mancrab?

I guess you have never ordered her CAIPS notes to see what they have done so far in her file. I am beginning to think if they have already completed her background check too. Are her meds up to date?

One advice I can give you re: the RPRF, if you have time today you should make a quick trip to the bank and do the payment or you can do so online as a matter of fact once you have a credit card. Online payment is much easier but you have to choose CPC-M as the office it's being sent to. Once you get the confirmation receipt that it's paid, I would quickly Fax the receipt the receipts to the POS office letting them know that it has been paid. Maybe do an email too. Be sure that whichever path you are taking you keep both CPC-M and POS in the game and not try to create any confusions between both offices.

I think you can also Fax the receipt to CPC-M if I can remember properly.

One other thing, does your wife have the new machine readable Caricom Community passport for Trinidad? It's the new blue passport they give all Caricom nationals. I know for GEO, they do not stamp visas in passports unless it's the new machine readable passport.

Anyway, good luck and you better work on getting that payment in ASAP.
