Thank you!!! I am so happy!!!

My husband got an email :) I saw it first so I told him I've got good news and bad news... which you want first? For the bad news I told he would have to quit his job and start packing... the good news he and the kids were coming to Canada.

We have to submit the passports, new photos, and a signed form saying my stepkids mom is okay with them leaving the country.

I can't stop thanking God. And I will pray for all who are still waitin to hear! I want us all to reach the end of this victorious!

Yay! Wow how exciting! I honestly feel so happy to see movement out of POS. It just shows you can never know...just yesterday you were down thinking wetter or not to email them and then bam! You are on the home stretch ;D

Yes indeed! Love the sentiment!

If there any veterans around... I understand the process for the applicant... but what should the sponsor expect? Do they mail us something?

I am having trouble logging in to Ecas :o

Has anyone ever experienced that?

I keep getting a screen that says:

We were not able to identify you using the information you provided. There could be three possible reasons:
•Please be sure the information you entered is correct and then try again.
•This service is only available to clients with applications in process. We may have received your application but not begun processing it yet. The following link may help you determine if your application is being processed:
Application Processing Times
•At this time, you may use this on-line service if you have: ◦sponsored a member of the family class;
◦applied for permanent residence from within or outside Canada;
◦applied for a permanent resident card (replacement or renewal);
◦applied for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship);
◦applied for Canadian citizenship for a person adopted by a Canadian citizen (on or after January 1, 1947);
◦applied for a citizenship certificate (proof of Canadian citizenship);
◦applied to renounce Canadian citizenship; or
◦applied to resume Canadian citizenship.

Another thing to check is whether you are copying and pasting your UCI or application number. Sometimes when you select it to copy, it has a space either before or after the number and that will not be recognized correctly. If you haven't already try typing it in directly???

In the latest Comms w/ PSPAN it asks for a TT POS PAID envelope so the passport can be mailed back.

Can anyone shed some light on this? Since im here, how would I do that?

Ryan

Hi Ryan,

Since I don't have accounts with any of the couriers, I just went to fedex and asked them if I can have a prepaid airway bill to return my documents to me, around the same weight as the ones going out. SO I filled out the return airway bill and included it in the documents sent along with one of the courier legal envelopes.

I would presume that safe avenue.

I say this, as i'm fortunate to have connections with someone who has a FexEx account. So I just got the waybill (and place their account number on it), extra large envelope, and letter size envelope. I placed the letter envelope, plus the pre-filled waybill in it (for PSPAN to Toronto) + all my supporting documents.

Alternatively; you can get yourself a FedEx account (at no charge), tie your CC to it, and just use your own account number - either way its the same process.

Yeppers this is another thing to check for - Any update on getting access?

Another thing to share/update:
---------------

So I received an email today from PSPAN - they confirmed I can use my own courier rather than TTPOST as the letter stated.

The other MAIN issue which I was concerned about....when my wife and I submitted the CIC APP, we used her maiden name. Getting a TT Passport (as her only form of ID) would take 6 months.
I didn't want to wait that long.

So we submitted everything as is using her maiden name. Her passport eventually took near 6 months to arrive from TT (apparently TT has some strike or stoppage of work for passports mid last year). Anyhow, I was worried that her docs, police cert, and med all showed maiden name.

Now that we have moved forward with the app, and now requesting passport, I was concerned PSPAN would say you need to do a new med, and TT + FBI Police cert with her married name. This would take near 6 more months at minimum (FBI is at least 4-5 months by itself)

Anyhow I enquired about this via email 1 days ago, and they confirmed this morning that we just needed to send her "current valid passport" - plus the other supporting documents.

Cheers,

Ryan

Passport received today with the maple leaf.

Quick note.....passport was intercepted by immigration. I had to go to the airport to clear it. I was also told by the immigration officer that passports are not be sent with couriers but instead thru consulate... All in all i am happy....i have it in hand.
