Hello kanarf

I got my MR and PPR on 28-Jan-16 and my lawyer had suggested that I not submit the passports until the VO is ready to stamp them, as it can take 2 to 6 months after the Medicals for them to be ready for stamping.

I saw were someone in this forum sent off their passports as requested and got their passports back in like 2 weeks!! Because of that I disobeyed my lawyers and sent off my passports as requested ....its been 15 days and counting ... my ecas still says In Process too

I really dont think a VO should request a passport and keep it for more than 2 weeks. From the moment a VO request a passport it should be that they are ready to stamp the visa. I feel like a fish out of water now. I have a travel arrangement for next month and no sign of passport.....16 works days and counting....not to mention if i count weekends and public holidays #fingerscrossed

No there was no email. I just kept checking the status and it changed a few days before the passport documents came back.

I have to agree with you. We got ours back in just under the 14 day mark.

Just in case anyone needed to know about expired CSQ. My CSQ was valid when our permanent residency visa was issued but will expire in June 2016 before we are set to arrive in Quebec. I called Quebec immigration and they said that as long as the CSQ was valid when the visa was issued you are ok. No need to worry about renewal once visa is in hand.

BACKSIDE! It's one of those things my Mom always told me as I was growing up. If I was mistreated, I didn't make it past something, or that I didn't get when I wanted it.
In most cases as I did get what I wanted, achieve that goal, kick @ $$ and won' in a competition, what ever it was, I was more appreciative of it.

I didn't squander it, I was humble, and I took it with stride.

Yes I believe there is a right time - when that is, I don't know. But I do believe that while waiting...the following will happen: Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger (Daft Punk), you can add more to it....

and no we arent getting younger...backside!
