Hi I've been reading the forum posts for a while now and thought I would finally sign up and ask a question. After you submitted your application and it moved onto Stage 2 with the embassy in Trinidad, did you have to wait for them to request the medical, or can you do this beforehand?

I've been trying to schedule a medical for my husband and his son, but when I call they are asking me for an IME number, which I don't have.

The IME number will be on the form immigration will email you, without it your hubby wouldn't be able to do his medical. (Stage 2) requested document by immigration.

Can you tell us a little about yourself? Are you the sponor or applicant? When was your woo filed? Any red flags? Happy you have joined us. We are here to answer questions, listen when you feel like this process will never end and pick you up on a bad day.

I am the sponsor. My application shows as received Dec 2013 online, and my husband had an interview September 11 2014- which thankfully went well and the visa officer told him at the end that she had no doubt it was a genuine relationship. He didn't want to ask about how much longer the application would take- but at the end without prompting she told him that she can't say for sure because it has to go to a senior officer for "processing" but it should be a couple months or less. ---although its simple english I've spent soo much time analyzing those words!! I'm not sure if it'll take longer because there is a criminal rehab in our application as well? But she is aware of that because she asked questions about that as well in the interview. She told my husband that the rehab fee wasn't paid which irritated me because the lawyer is supposed to have taken care of that! They submitted it the next day but I'm not sure if that will delay things now!

It's been a month since the interview and we haven't heard anything back which is driving me nuts because I want to get their medical done and over with! and well this entire process so we can start our lives!!

How are you?Hope all is well. It depends on the IO. Some of the ladies and gents on here can tell you some got quick response and some had to wait awhile. I got instructions within the same week of my interview. It shouldn't be long again.
