Hi Two Hearts,

As you can see from my timeline, they're still taking a long time with some (ours being one of them--we applied in January 2013 and file was transferred to POS in late February 2013), but at the same time earlier in the year the POS had a lot of action and some folks were getting through within 3-4 months ("no-brainer" cases)... over the summer, POS and this forum have been dead dead dead so I'm not sure we're a great frame of reference. i'm sorry to hear that KGN increased their time frame, it is really discouraging to see that.

Keep visiting us, this forum needs oxygen.

What I find funny and full of crackery, they say POS office is not busy and they have some applicant still waiting on a decision to be made but yet still they take on applicants from the Kingston office....that really makes no sense...its going to be a very interesting ride]

Hello pos family, I am back. I forgot all my login info. I was faith25 before but now I'm faith2525.
I had my interview in August. I got notice two months before for both myself and my husband to be interviewed and oh boy that was STRESSFUL! We were asked for updated forms and proof of relationship.

I can tell you that GOD has been with me throughout!! I prayed my heart out and this was a miracle indeed!! I got exactly what I prayed for. I prayed that they would never call my husy and that's exactly what happened! My interview lasted about 45 mins. The VO told me she believe my relationship is genuine. Three days later I got an email asking me to do an Arc. I was hoping that they would request a medical since I haven't done one but they didn't.
Question: for the arc payment , do I have to do a bank draft or a money order and payable to " high commission of Canada?

Hello PoS Members! I am from the KGN thread and yes I can confirm that some of our files (at least 6 that we know of all from Sept-Oct 2013 files) have been transferred to PoS from KGN for processing. Of course this is ALL the informtion that we were able to find out about. Apparently KGN is overloaded and PoS is suppose to help them with their backlog. Not sure if this is a good thing or bad thing for both KGN and PoS applicants. Possibly good bc someone up above has noticed that these timelines (27 in KGN now) are inhumane and WRONG!!! I see that some of your members got through in speedy-gonzalez time but yet others have been lingering. Hoping and praying that these older files get cleared up lickety-split so that they can work on newer ones including us KGN folks.

Hi Can-Vinc maybe you will be able to answer my question. Did you pay your arc with a bankdraft or a money order? My hubby is paying the arc in Canada.

Faith if u don't mind can you share a little of your story please, since it's been a while since you last posted, and I'm also new to forum.

To answer your question: yes you need to do a bank draft or certified cheque and pay the processing fee of CDN $400.00 cash is not accepted. the bank draft or certified cheque should be made for the exact amount and payable to "High Commission of Canada.

In my email I was ask to complete an immigration medical exam. Applicable instructions and forms were sent to me.

Had my fingerprints taken at a police station nearest to where I live. they send me the fingerprint card in one (1) week. (RCMP)

I had 60 days from the date of the letter to submit my request for authorization to return to Canada along with the processing fee(s).


Maybe you don't have to do the finger print, I'm certain you will have to do a medical at some point.

Hi Faith,
Yes send all the documents they give to you. Remember to let them know how sorry you are. What kind of consultant is that. The finger print is usually for (RCMP).

Faith you don't have to keep her. Did you pay her a lot of money if not change her, she is not a lawyer. This is where she should be stepping in to really help you, because This is the technical part of it, you really need the help here. If not get help from a lawyer.
This is what will make or break your case. Please seek help elsewhere.
