Good Morning to all,
I must say these forums are very helpful. I am a Canadian citizen that sponsored my husband from Guyana on November 20th, 2012. We have submitted all our documents needed with the file when we sent every thing of to Trinidad. I didn't want them sending back any papers saying that a certain part needed to be sign because as we all know that certainly slows the process of your application. We have submitted all our pictures together, phone bills, magic jack calls, Skype calls, emails, text messages and cards. On February 15, 2013 CIC - Mississauga sent me a letter about the decision of my application, and if I have meet all the eligibility requirements and yes! I did met all the reqirements. I was so happy and excited because this was the first step of the process. I usually go to Guyana 3 times a year to visit my hubby since I have sponser him and ever after that. I also have my parents back home and my only sister. I am currently up in Canada on my own and I am working at a hospital. My parents came up to Canada in 2003 but my dad didn't like it because of the cold weather, and job wise. He's his own business man in Guyana so coming here to Canada and starting from scratch was very hard for him. Here's all about work and paying bills. Canada is a beautiful country with lots of benefits and if you want to enjoy it you have to work hard for what you want and put yourself to be someone good. My parents decided to go back to Guyana and live but they all have their citizenship so they usually come up every now and then to visit me. Living alone can be very lonely and depressing at times. There are days that go by that I cry because I miss my hubby so much especially after coming back from month long vacation. It's the hardest thing to do, to leave the one you love and come back to a different country all alone. Knowing one day soon he will be here with me. There is so much I can't wait for us to do together once he is here so we can start our life together and do fun things. After I spent month long vacation in Guyana this year in July. I was back in Canada in August and every day I would check to see if he got any emails from Trinidad or I would check our status up dates. With the little imformation they give it makes you wonder??. One day I was checking back how long it takes for the whole process and I saw it changed to 20 months and I was like no way that's too long!!! And I kinda got worried. On September 9, 2013 my husband got an email saying they
Have started to process your application for permanent residence and I am like what??? Only now they are doing this... Later on that month on the 24th I came home from a 12 hour day shift that night and I was getting a terrible headache and my husband was on the phone with me and I felt so depress and started to break down into tears about why do I have to come home to an empty apartment all alone. I still can imagine this day how much I cried and I ask God why is this happening to me? There's no happiness. My husband told me don't worry it's just a matter of time and he will be there with me soon. That night I drank an Advil and went to bed and the next day I check his email and guess what!!!! There was an email from Trinidad. I got a little nervous from when I saw the email but then I began to read the email and they were asking for him to redo a chest X-ray and to redo his police clearance because the one on file has expired but then I kept strolling down and there I saw they are requesting him his passport and an immigration picture meeting the enclose specification below so right then and there I know my prayers was answer. God have answer my prayers. My husband don't have to go for an interview. Knowing that they wanted those few stuff made me felt so much better. I was so excited that I called him right away and the next day he got all his stuff ready but he had to wait 3 days to get back his police clearance. He FedEx everything to them on October 2 and they recieved it on October 4. 2 weeks have gone by and we both r still waiting patiently. Tomorrow will be 3 weeks but on the letter we were told it takes 2 to 4 weeks for a respond and for him to get back his passport. We both r totally anxious and can't wait until he gets his visa in his hand so we can book the ticket and get him up to Canada as soon as possible. I was hoping that he would be here ending of the month and even before Diwali but I guess he will be here after Diwali. It's just a matter of time and everything will be in place. I leave everything in God hands. He knows what's best! In the mean time my hubby and I will be waiting patiently until any updates I will be sharing with you all. Sorry for the long story but I taught I would share it to everyone here since I have seen some people here talking about there experience and I hope my story can help some one who is now going through the whole process for sponsorship.
Have a great day guys!
Enjoy the cold weather...
