Yes Dadzin, marriage cert. etc. If you do not have one, you say, "I will run home and return before "EOD" end of day!! You are going to be fine. Make sure you ask them, how long will it take before I can expect my COPR??? They may not offer this info. but will usually respond to a direct question. Are you taking the wife and kids? That is excellent proof!! Many blessings my friend.

Im 90% sure we included an original birth cert for hubby when we applied but I dont see it on the document checklist so I cant be 200 percent sure. We didnt bring another one because I was so sure we already submitted one... but now Im panicking.. what if we didnt and i dont have one tomorrow

No panic required Miss D. :-* You tell them you will courier one ASAP if required. I only sent photocopies as well of hubby's and step-kid's birth certificates, passports and national identity cards. In the country specific guide if they did not ask for an original then you are fine. I do not know of any that ask for original BC's. Either way, deep breath........prayers and blessings are covering you and hubby. Mere mortals never have to be 200% sure !!

Thanks! So best case scenario is passed interview and they take your pp right away for visa? Or you have to come back for pp and decision ?

Dadzin, I believe that they will likely ask you to keep your passport as you are Trini; however, if they do not, do not despair as they may request it after the interview as well. I believe (if I am not mistaken) they did that with millslu (Lucian) and may do that with Miss D. as her hubby has to travel back to Dominica. But we all know that POS does not always do what we think so as I said in my previous post - ASK THE IO at the end of the interview - what will happen next and how long will it take?. It will not hurt your outcome regardless. Blessings and prayers.

Lol....Dadzin I still cannot even believe they called you for an interview.....I honestly think they have "quotas" to fill and you got the short straw.....take your baby son in with you and if he cries ask the IO to hold him!! .....that should be a guaranteed pass!!

Did they ask for the original and did you send a photocopy in with your application? If you want to send a copy, just scan and e-mail it.

If they need the original and it is your only one, you need to courier it to him so it can be tracked. Go to your local post office/courier outlet and compare prices and timelines for the major couriers, FedEx, Purolator, or others. Make sure you give some turnaround time on it as well. The other option is for him to go to the authority in St. Lucia and have another original issued. All depends on the timelines and costs and what gives you the most peace of mind.
