@ BeHopeful - Thanks it certainly is a releif although i was a little sad to see the file go haha a lot of hard work went into that thing over the months! I am Canada, husband is Grenadian. He was here for 5 years and was asked to leave Feb of this year . . 2 months before I had our daughter, great timing right? So he left by the said date and i guess now we wait lol We just got back 3 weeks ago from Grenada so he was finally able to meet his little girl

What an ordeal! I would think their primary motive should be to keep families together. You are a strong person.

Such a range of emotions today. I'm nervous, excited, happy, sad for him leaving his country and family, but I really can't wait. His flight leaves Trinidad at 230 and lands at 840.
I hope I have prepared him enough. I'm nervous about the landing and fearful it won't be smooth because this process has been way too smooth for us. I just need to let go and he will be fine!
Anyways... Off to do all the things I need to do... Should attempt to shave my legs today! LOL... He might appreciate that! I haven't had to worry about that chore as often for the last year!
Thanks again to all my faithful friends and supports here. I couldn't have made it through the process without all of you and your kind words!

This process comes with a very wide array of emotions, especially for the new PR and leaving a life that is so familiar.
He is excited but also said he will be sad. He lived here for 4 yrs so he knows what to expect but he has no family here. Lots of friends but it is still hard. Truly bittersweet. I was reading about how the new immigrant can go into a depression after arriving and there are very few resources to help with this. It can take years for someone to feel settled. I'm not concerned for my husband but landing in winter I'm sure adds to all the challenges too.
