Cndandtrini...interesting that your PPR letter indicated to send a pre paid envelope. Our letter did not indicated this this we dropped it off.

We are going to drop it off as well Behopeful. I thought POS just used a form letter and they would all say that. Yours did not?

Our letter didn't indicate to send a prepaid envelope, so I was slightly concerned if that was the right thing to do. If I was you I would still drop it off. Kinda silly to courier it when he is in Trinidad, unless you are wanting to track. In my opinion better to drop it off.

Dadzin ,,, I want to wish you luck on your upcoming interview.. I see one in our future as well.
May I ask if you expected an interview and possibly why???? If this is too personal... I totally understand!
Best of luck and don't stress.... lol

Thanks MsRuby, I hope that our case gives hope to others going through this process. I am very humbled that we got through so quickly and it is by the Grace of God only. I pray that POS speeds through all of the other applications. Blessings.

I expected the interview when I saw the case notes. The officer said that he needed to verify if our marriage is genuine.

Hi Behopeful, forgot to ask yesterday, did your hubby get a receipt of some kind when he dropped off his passport? Did he do it at the VAC or the High Commission? Did he have to wait in line to do this? Enquiring minds....... ;)

Good morning! So hubby has passport in hand! Took less then 10 minutes to pick it up! Flight is booked for Friday afternoon.

Cndandtrini. He dropped everything required (same things as your hubby) off at the embassy. He put all documents in an envelope, put his name and file number on the outside of the envelope. He also attached a cover letter to indicate how to contact him when the PP was ready. Basically when you arrive at the embassy the security guard greets you, turn off/ leave all electronics and the security guard directs you to drop documents in the drop box. No receipt was given. They also made him take his documents out of his personal envelope and put them in one of the embassy's clear folders. My mind automatically went to the 'what if' the PP is lost or they say it wasn't received... Had to just shut that out of my brain. I think it is a secure system and everything is documented when he arrives and is videotaped. Once everything was dropped off, I sent a CSE email to say we dropped everything. My husband was shocked hoe quickly they move you along once you're in the embassy but it all for security reasons. Will he drop everything off today?

So just spoke with husband he said he basically checked in with the security guard at just before 0900. He waited in line outside until his name was called. He said 3 others were picking up their PP's at the same time. His name was called and he was handed a large package with stuff. He quickly was escorted out (his comment... Boi they real strict- I'm sure he wanted to look around, use the washroom LOL). He opened the package outside and it contained all our supporting documents along with PP with VISA and COPR. His VISA was issued October 2.

Can't believe this is all coming to an end!

Amazing news for you Behopeful, hubby must be floating on air :D! Thanks for the scoop and helpful tips on the drop-off. We cannot get it done until hubby gets back his passport renewed. His previous passport is expiring this month so he had already applied for a renewal and is just awaiting that. Hopefully he will have it in hand within the next week or 2. We are of the same mind - what if POS loses or misplaces the PP???!!! >:(...... That almost has me thinking we should courier it for the tracking capability.....

Not complaining though, glad to have this worry now :D. Your weekend will be so great!! Blessings.
