Good morning! So hubby has passport in hand! Took less then 10 minutes to pick it up! Flight is booked for Friday afternoon.
Cndandtrini. He dropped everything required (same things as your hubby) off at the embassy. He put all documents in an envelope, put his name and file number on the outside of the envelope. He also attached a cover letter to indicate how to contact him when the PP was ready. Basically when you arrive at the embassy the security guard greets you, turn off/ leave all electronics and the security guard directs you to drop documents in the drop box. No receipt was given. They also made him take his documents out of his personal envelope and put them in one of the embassy's clear folders. My mind automatically went to the 'what if' the PP is lost or they say it wasn't received... Had to just shut that out of my brain. I think it is a secure system and everything is documented when he arrives and is videotaped. Once everything was dropped off, I sent a CSE email to say we dropped everything. My husband was shocked hoe quickly they move you along once you're in the embassy but it all for security reasons. Will he drop everything off today?
Amazing news for you Behopeful, hubby must be floating on air
! Thanks for the scoop and helpful tips on the drop-off. We cannot get it done until hubby gets back his passport renewed. His previous passport is expiring this month so he had already applied for a renewal and is just awaiting that. Hopefully he will have it in hand within the next week or 2. We are of the same mind - what if POS loses or misplaces the PP???!!!
...... That almost has me thinking we should courier it for the tracking capability.....
Not complaining though, glad to have this worry now
. Your weekend will be so great!! Blessings.
