I do belive it has a lot to do witht he VO
and me well....ho surprise never got the email they said i would get from my VO, remember they said i would get one this week...the week ends and nothing!
i guess i got the worst VO of the office!!!
I will send them yet another email and hope!!!

I think our case was just straightforward...first marriage, no kids, and on paper we're pretty similar in terms of age, religion etc. We definitely didn't do anything major with our application itself...in fact, when I found this website I kind of panicked because it seemed like everyone had such detailed applications with a million pics and had actually used extra pages for their relationship stories! (btw you know you're really in the heat of this when you cry because maybe now immigration thinks you don't really love your husband because you didn't even write more than a few lines about how you met )We did have a lot of proof of communication for the year that we were long distance though since we had pretty long phone convos everyday so I'm sure that helped, as well as pictures with each other's families and friends and doing different activities (dinner, hiking etc). But in the end I think we were just lucky to not have anything for them to think twice about, and maybe had a nice VO as well? I think a lot of people get through within reasonable times as POS, though there are a few that unfortunately have had a hard time

True , so quiet here. May be because POS is also very quiet and slow. It is one of the worse visa office i have come across. They just do not want to make things happen. They are so happy keeping files. I am in research Searching for a way to wake them up.

Yes, it is definitely about quality over quantity. Analyze your situation and think about what will best convey it to the VO

Well I heard (and that is total hear say) there r only 6 immi officers at that office so could be a reason why they r so slow. I think it depends on the IO who has ur file. Some take pride in their work and some are just LAZY. I fear when it is my turn I will be harassing them. Have u been waiting long?

My fingers are crossed that we will start hearing something by Christmas. I really hope there are not 6 immigration officers!!! That is pretty scary if that is the situation at POS. It has been 5 months since our application went in and patiently waiting.

yes i have waited for 8 months after they received my medicals. Category is QSW visa office POS.

Well if they have quotas to meet by year end, lots of people will be getting visas by christmas!

quebecboy...how do you know when they receive your medicals? I am assuming they have received my husbands because we did the medical in may 2012. My ecas still says application received and thats it! We submitted my husbands medical as well as all the fees with the application...so they shouldnt need to ask us for anything further. When did everyone else receive an update on ecas?

ecas shows it. They just write a sentence : medicals have been received. This is how i new they have received my medicals. Hope every body succeeds.

Hello all,

My husband and I will be flying to Canada together on Dec 1st as he was granted the PR on Oct 5th after about 9 months in processing. We will fly into Toronto and just wondering if anyone has any advise or information about what we can expect at Immigration when we arrive at the airport. We just want to be as prepared as possible.
I am happy I will be with him for the journey "home" so would like to prepare myself also for the process here in Canada when we arrive.

Congrats!!!!

My husband said his landing was really smooth...pretty much just signed the COPR in front of the officer and that was it. If you're bringing a lot of possessions to the country, there may be some additional forms. Don't know too much about that as we did not require them.
