Hello,

i guess i will give good news... POS is moving!

Address in ecas was change to Montreal, and to decision made! :D

Have a good weekend.

Please i am new in this forum. Could someone post a list of most affordable neighborhoods in Montreal?. I intend to travel to Montreal but i am just a beginner in life. I will really appreciate if you guys do this for me. Wish you guys a nice labor day.

Côte-des-neiges, verdun, lasalle, rosemont.
Look into kijiji.ca or craiglist, you will be able to do a search with min and max you would like to pay for rent per month.

Thanks very much Natley, thanks a lot. have a nice day

Good morning everyone.
My husband received notification this last week from POS, his interview is scheduled for Oct 4. It was almost 8 months to the day since we applied. We are happy to have had correspondence and are going into this interview process with strength and courage and pride on our backs.

If anyone has any preparation tips, we would appreciate that. I see lots of good sample questions on this forum that he can look at.
Thanks and god bless all.

You should order your GCMS notes. It may tell you what information the IO is looking for from you that requires an interview..

Here is a copy and paste of my post for another member to order them...

it takes 30 days...

ok this form you need both u and your husband to sign unless you are already signed as his representative on your application. If you need his signature it is ok to send in a faxed copy... so u can fax it to him and he signs it and faxes it back....

this form u fill out....

Best of luck with your interview! Definitely order your gcms notes, and also take an honest look at your application and relationship to see what may have stood out as red flags to the VO, so that you'll be well prepared to answer their questions.

Hi Everyone,

Congrats Natley, your COPR should be on it's way in the mail. Keep checking and if you don;t see anything, just e-mail them. I had to do that. They told me to check with the post office and sure enough it was there.

Where in Montreal are you setlling? I'm gonna be in La Salle

I live in Rosemont, but as soon as hubby gets here, we might look to get something bigger. I am looking for a good neighborhood, not too frenchy, close to stuff and not too far from work or subway station; I work downtown.
Enough people from the caribean are in LaSalle, it is like a small caricom over there :)

@ZoukPrincess I am not sure I will have time to receive the GCMS notes as his interview is less than a month away, and I see the notes take 30 days. I think we will be okay if we just go over the fine details of our file and information.

Thanks for the help.

If anyone has any interview tips we would love to hear them. Have a blessed week.

@ cdguyana, some useful information can be found on:

@ Admirable, thanks

Good day Natley,

I like LaSalle, everything is there..I don;t know a lot of caribbean people from that area though. We live on the boulevard itself..it's so nice out that side. I want a bigger place too but still within that area.

@Admirable, can't wait to hear how your first day of work went.

Good luck to those who have interviews coming up. Those still waiting just stuck and stay. You have support here.
