Good morning everyone...It's been two weeks since hubby got home. His flight was actually early but ir still seemed to take forever for him to come out. I thought I was gonna end up sleeping at the airport lol. We went the next morning and got his SIN and he is at his first job interview today.

Hi everyone
Cic has extended the visa deadline by one month .
Spoke to tt and my huband has to get his bar code passport since it is required from march 2012 to Travel to Canada . He applied today and it will take a few weeks .

He also has to get a new pc because he was chosen for special check like zouk said .
I guess it all depends on who is assigned your case.

So he will be here before the end of the year .
That is all that matters . The nightmare is done .

That's great you were able to get everything cleared up. Like you said, the important thing is at least the end is near!

May I ask how you managed to get ahold of POS? Did you phone or email? We're trying to find out if they've received our med extension approval, and we sent a cse today, but they hardly ever answer those

My husband called and asked general questions .
If you need to find out something specific to your case, you have to
email an inquiry . The lawyer will get the extension for him.

After submitting new pics when my pp was requested, they used the pic I submitted initially when I filed the papers....Smh ???

That's great! Hahaha trust Immigration to not make sense! Hopefully the first set of pics were nice ones We sent 2 in with the passport, so they'd better use one of them. I always wondered what they use the first 8 for anyways...

Good morning forum family,

Zouk we are really quiet ..lol. I'm, back in Barbados for a bit..my company is looking like it's gonna close so I'm here waiting to get all my stuff finished up. I will go back up around March or so. I had received a call for job offer when i was in Montreal but i declined ti as i knew I had to come back here to take care of things, but I'm not worried as the lady left ,me her information to contact her as soon as i go back up. I'm brushing up on my French since I'm a little rusty and it's going great.

Admirable glad to hear your are better and got your PR card. Have you found a job yet? I may have missed some of the postings from you.
I have a friend who sent in his app in Nov 2011 and still have not heard anything from POS. All is ECAS is saying is We received your app Jan 2012. ,,,Meds received. Application Received is the status. His wife is just anxious to have him home with her but i don;t know why it's taking them so long to process his application.

I hope those who are waiting get some good news before this week is done.

@Bajeinwaiting - I sent our application in at the end of December 2011, today is our 8 month mark, and same as your friend our status is appilcation received Feb 2012, with no indication it's in process. But soon I feel it's gonna happen. My husband is in Guyana and we too are anxiously waiting to be together.

Happy to all of those families who are united by love. Let's hope and pray Septmember brings some movement for all.
