Gd morning all, hope everyone is enjoying a lazy saturday morning.
Zouk, it seems as if you will be done shortly. All of the docs they are asking for is to complete the issuance of the COPR.
Good luck

Morning everyone,

Thanks everyone... :)

@Mysticsher Happy Anniversary.

@ Zouk The visa should be issued once you submit the allowing docs.

UPDATE!!!

The anticipated letter has finally arrived! I am right >:( that these people wasted THREE WEEKS of our time by sending this in the mail, but...bigger picture right?

The wording is kinda strange though. I am thinking that it might be because they're waiting on our medical extension to come through? It says:

"I am pleased to advise you that you appear to meet the selection requirements and a final decision on your application will be made when you provide the following items to our office:

- police certificate from Dominica
- passport with validity of at least 1 year
- one current photo meeting the enclosed specifications
- complete the following information for yourself.
Name _________. Eye color ____________. Height (cm) _________

You are required to submit all the items listed above in sixty (60) days from the date of this letter"

And then all the photo info n stuff.

It just seems weird they didn't mention the visa being ready for issuance ::)
I'm also not sure why they want the PC from Dominica, but at this point, whatever .

Now we continue to wait on that medical extension. So in essence, our processing took 6 months in stage 2 (at PoS)

This honestly made me cry! I hope we have a 6 month timeline for Dominica through POS. I miss my luv so much! So happy for you!!!

Congratulations MissDominica!!!

I am confused re the number of pics needed. POS said they need 8 immigration pics and the DMP says she needs 5 for out of country apps. One for the medical and 4 for her. So I need 13 in total and 2 passport size to send to ST. Vincent for police clearance. Does this sound
right to everybody?

Thanks guys! I'm just really ready for this to all be behind us. It's not even the time that bothers me, it's the manner in which we are treated. CIC treats us like dogs begging for a bone and that's not right. I could deal with the time and the waiting if they would only show a little respect you know.

But Anyhoo, we're getting everything together and will send it off as soon as we get the PC back :)

Yes, this sound correct, just remember to follow the instructions to send the correct immigration pics for POS

Your congrats belongs to Zouk (same flag as me) - she has been waiting much longer than I! ;) But I'll take it in advance. All the best!

Congrats Zouk . The waiting continues . Hope this week we get more good news .

Anyone have suggestions for health/life insurance companies that would let me add my COMMON-LAW partner who is still in the caribbean? I currently have (terrible) insurance through my university and I am going to cancel it (it covers nothing and they won't let me add him). It will not only be extra proof to submit to our application later, but I truly do need to update my health/life insurance.

Would appreciate advice/suggestions!

Thanks

Hmmm...don't know any offhand. My understanding is that you have to live in the country to be covered, but I'm not 100% sure bout that

Hi everybody,

finally all docs requested were received by POS last friday. I am amaze how the time flew by, we received this letter inside of the 7 months period.

This refers to your application for permanent residence in Canada.

This is to advise that your interview has been waived. I am pleased to advise that your application appears to be ready for a final decision and visa issuance. The final decision can only be made when you have met the following requirements:

I am asking myself what did I do in the last 7 months apart waiting and hoping... Being in the process, you feel like stuck in a time capsule, but now I see it from a different eye, and the 7 months were not too bad :-[ Kind of weird saying that because i remeber so many days where I had a break down, cried all the tears, and I could not see the light at the end of the tunnel.

Hopefully, everybody will get reunited with their love ones soon.

Congrats Natley!!

Congratulations Natley... this gives us all hope.

Does anyone know how to speed up the process of getting your marriage certificate in Canada sent back to you (I don't want to wait 8 weeks after getting married to file my application)

I was able to registered online for the mariage certificate before. I got married in Las Vegas, and I am registered there.
