Mexico is now TT visa. VFS Global had said the unfinished decisions would be decided by IRCC. So true to form they sent them back to Trinidad. So our applications fell under UD. We were supposed to be in Trinidad in the first place but just because of the flood that happened there recently that office was temporarily closed. My lawyer said they may or may not call for an interview. At this point there is nothing that they will asked that i can't answer with confidence so i am not worried. I overstayed yes, but left on my own. I did my RCMP background check one day before i left so all is in order otherwise.

So hopefully this is all positive.

I would say so. They've asked for no additional documents from us, hope its the same for you. as the old folks would say, No news is good news. Let's keep each other in prayer to be reunited with our love ones soon.

Yea no additional documents have been requested. I agree with no news is good news lol

Hi all. got my passport with the immigrant visa back last week. Applied in April 2018and completed the process in February. Could have taken about two months less but when I received the medical request I was in Canada and had to wait a month until I got back home to do it. similarly when I got the passport request in January I was also in Canada and had to wait another month to get back home to send it to Trinidad.

Any of my Eastern Caribbean folks in the house? I got a call from my lawyer on Saturday morning that my Paperwork is now in Trinidad. It has been sent over from Mexico. The letter further states that they'll be contacting me within the next two months. I was told in the letter as well to not contact them to asked about my status as they won't respond. So i will simply wait and see what the next step in the process is. Good luck and blessings to all.

Did you receive any AOR2 from Mexico when your file was transferred? How long did it take for you file to reach Mexico? Any communication from Mexico whilst your file was there?

Im the sponsor and PA my husband is from Grenada as well. We are June 2018 Applicants. File was tranferred to Mexico in September 2018, AOR2 received Jan 2019 from mexico and then transferred to Trinidad Feb 7, 2019.

I did received AOR2 from there and the last request was for my payment then my file was transferred to Trinidad and Tobago on the 1st, Feb 2019. The latter states that I am in my final process and not to contact them about the decision. It also states that they’ll contact me within 2 months which is between February to April 2nd. My file was transferred to Mexico on August 8th, 2018. I wrote Mexico and within a day, they got back to me. I was concerned because I thought my file was supposed to be in Trinidad. But they answered and told me it was in Mexico. I would want to believe that your file would be in Trinidad by now because VFS Global is now TT Visa and the Eastern Caribbean will be processed there. Send an email to Trinidad. Keep it short and sweet. Just asked if your file is in Trinidad or where it might be processed. I’m almost 100% sure that your file would be in Tinidad by now. They are not at 1 Woodrow Place. I think that is the new address. Don’t quote me fully lol. Best of everything to you!

Yes! There’s this friend of mine who just got hers this past Tuesday and she was exactly a month ahead of me which was April 8th and I am May 7th. I am so happy for all of us who has gone through the process smoothly. I will keep all updated.

Wonderful, I cant wait for this process to be over, its exhausting, because everything is on hold now until this process is done. So hopefully we get some good news for March

Yes I’m did! Then it was transferred back to Trinidad when VFS Global visa office closed on Feb 1st, 2019. I got the request to pay a month and a half ago
