OMG amazing KDS

I'm so excited for you and things went well
So it wasn't so bad after all, it really does depend on who you get as the IO, in your case you seem to have gotten a real nice women

I'm glad things went well for your husband, your the second person I know that was given an interview while they are there with their spouse. I think they like to see that too.

So can you share some of the questions they asked you as his wife. - am curious because if my husband gets a an interview i plan to be there too

And how did the immigration officer know you were there - like did you walk into the room together or is there like a application form to fill out , that perhaps asking the question "is your spouse present at your interview"

Thanks and congrats
Hi needhimback,
Thank u... Both of us walk in the room when his name was call... Pls check ur inbox

Good morning, just want to share my news with u guys, my hubby had his interview on Wednesday, it went pretty well...btw the immigration officer was so nice, he was approved of his PR, he needs to send his passport and 2 pictures and i have to pay the fee over here.

his questions were mostly about me, my work, school, why he coming to live in canada, how much im paid hourly, wht course im taking, where im living etc. He spent about 30 mins and then she interview me.

Hi All,

Just thinking ahead, but does anyone know how to file taxes when your spouse is a non-resident?

There is a section on the tax remittance that allows you to select non-resident spouse. I did that last year for 214.

Did you file your own taxes?? If so which tax software did you use, and can you net file??

This board is so quiet lately, and the November outlands is quiet too...

I've been checking in on the October Outlands to see where things are... And I'm feeling like I got another two weeks to go before I receive my AOR. Hopefully less!!!

Hello Chris101

Welcome to POS

Number one, how did you become a PR (reason asked is because if you were married before and sponsored by your previous spouse there will be a 3 or 5 year waiting period before you can sponsor your new wife)

If not by all means - yes you can go back to Guyana and marry your girlfriend.
In regards to proof of accommodations you will be required to show your Option C from CRA and no pay stubs are required.(but can still submit if you wish, your choice)

Processing time in POS is approx 17 months, but keep in mind people are finished earlier than 17 months, which of course depends on those with red flags to their case or you can have a real smooth sail through which requires no interview.

Start gathering up all your proof and supporting documents pertaining to before marriage etc. - you will find this forum very helpful as well as answers right here in POS

Like I mentioned in my last post, I am finding the Guyanese applications getting through real fast, but again it all depends on each individual case.

You have a lot ahead of you, what I did was I joined the forum 1 year before i got married and spent a lot of time learning and educating myself with this crazy long Imirgration process ( so pretty much I've been here since 2013 and recently just submitted my completed huge immigration application ,to be exact I send it October 14th, 2015 and now I am patiently waiting for my AOR and SA

GOOD LUCK

We are here to assist you - see you around
Let us know of the big wedding day

Ps: nuff smiling in them wedding pic please and take lots of family photo with you both in ther if possible !!!
Immigration officer on your case will be looking at everything
Thank you for your response..

I will definitely be around to educate myself on the process. To answer your question I came to Canada through the Federal Skilled Workers Program (self sponsorship) and landed approx. 6 months ago. With regards to the option c for financial support, does it need to be 3 years?

Thank you,
Chris

Hello Chris101

Welcome Back

Not sure what you mean when you say "does Option C - have to be for three years

but what I know is is when you submit Option C to CIC they only need the most update tax assessment from the day you are submitting your application. They do not need 3 years of tax returns they just need the most recent tax year that you filed .

If you havnt received your tax assessment as yet because you have not been in Canada for a entire year or you have not worked a entire year , then you will have to explain this in your application. You can submit your pay stubs too.

remember Option C has to be request and order from CRA. (Takes approx. 2-3 weeks to arrive to your mailing address)

Good luck !!
