HI Mancrab,
Thank you for your very kind words of encouragement.
At first I was a bit excited when you got your approval, expecting to see mines in the mail.
However about 2 weeks has passed and I have now settled into the idea that mine is going to take a bit longer.
So! I thought about it, and I realised that there are many things about my relationship that makes it very unique. My hubby and I are of different race, religion, culture, country and even his parents were not able to make it to the wedding. Plus as you would recall I submitted additional information. So maybe all these things slowed it down.
But I keep pludding on and continue to save all my information so that when the time comes again in March for my second BFD I would probably send in some more information. or if i have an interview, I will submit.
Through the last couple of months my hubby has actually unearthed msn messages from 2008, so i am building a very strong case compared to the meagre evidence i had submitted before.
this process has thought me alot. Because I believed my relationship to be true, I did not bother to go the extra mile to PROVE its true. I really did think, you just have to submit some info and the paperwork would go through. I did not realise how much or how hard immigration officers are coming down on applicants because of the abuse of the system. My approach was too simlplistic. lol.
Anyways I am just going to enjoy maragarita, if it comes through early next year, I have discussed wiht my husband, finishing my contract work with the Government since I also get a bonus payment of 20% of my base salary for the 24months I worked. It would be good to take me through 6-9 months if i dont have a job in Canada when i finally move up. I wish you all the best and have a great chrismtas!
