Hi MissD! Very well said indeed. It is amazing how fast the file is reviewed once it reaches POS. It seems within 2-4 months the file is reviewed and notes made. I realize we still have a long process ahead of us. We require Canadian background checks and possibly an ARC because of the exclusion order. You are right in the idea that HOPE is what keeps us going everyday... And the thought that POS is actually working.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts on the next steps you plan to take. Basically just a waiting game. Might send a CSE just for the heck of it. Volunteer to send more proofs if needed. Will likely wait another few weeks and order notes again. Have you ordered again?

How is everyone else? GIGI any word on your file or the letter from POS? Mr and Mrs Millslu... Hi and so nice to hear from you both. Mrs I think you said you sent a CSE. Hear anything back from them? I can't remember if you had. The time is coming! FAD... How are you feeling? I think the flu is going around. My daughter was sick all over the car on the way to daycare earlier this week. Times like that is when I REALLY miss my husband... He would have had that car cleaned faster than I could blink my eyes!! Being a single parent is so hard... Never enough hands. She's feeling much better now and hope you are too! Happy belayed Anniversary to you and hubby!
It's Friday... Enjoy the weekend everyone. Monday can't come fast enough.

Good night everyone, its me again, Mrs. Millslu.
@ behopeful, yes, I sent a case specific enquiry on Wednesday, we haven't heard anything yet. It's funny, when I'm feeling down, my husband is so strong and when he's feeling low, I get this burst of optimism and Hope to encourage him like Miss D described. This is the worst thing I have ever gone thru. I suddenly hate weekends and can't wait for Mondays, which I would normally hate, but I love Mondays Now!!!
So, we will wait and see. Our Counselor said the ARC can take awhile bc it requires 2 senior officers to sign off. If my husband had any criminal records, then it would need to be signed off by the immigration minister in Ottawa, which used to be Jason Kenney, but now we have a new Minister, but his name escapes me now. So we continue to watch....My husband got his police check completed again, we're just waiting to hear what they will need from us next, medical expired a month ago today and still no word...,husbands passport expires in October so we're just being mindful.

Page TWO!?

Oh Lawd. It IS quiet in this forum this weekend.

Let's hope for big news tomorrow!!! (or well, today, depending on what part of the country you're in hehe)

Its Monday morning and here we go again.
The Lords mercies are new every morning ;)
Let's pull together and declare good news this week, okay!!!!!

*Bump*

We are way too far down! How is everyone?

I have a question for the group. I moved very recently and have changed my address (as the sponsor) online. I'm wondering, will my husband have to change anything since he is currently not living here, but his "destination" address that he indicated on his application, will of course change to our new apartment, once he is back. I can call if you all aren't sure but I thought I'd check here with my peeps first.

Thanks!

CIC doesn't really care where you land, as long as it's in Canada. I tend to avoid making any changes, as that just gives them an excuse to take longer with your file. When he lands, the officer will ask him to confirm the address his PR card is to be delivered to, so at that point, he could update the address. As well, as soon as you bring him home that night, log on to e-case and update it there as well.

Hey guys! Hope everyone is doing great. we are approaching 18 months waiting- wow!

Lmao! OK...after the night of unbridled passion, wake up the next morning, make your wife breakfast in bed, and then while she's eating, go onto e-cas and make the address update ;D

the inly reason why i didnt write pos yet is because my family is with me in canada...so their delay has minimum impact to me.

we are travelling to trinidad next week for a few months so when we ready to come bk up they should be finishef if not then ill contact the high commissioner

I would print just a couple of pages per each week showing the dates. Shows the officer you talk regularly but wont break your bank account or drive the vo crazy with too much to read. Thats what i did. Just printed a representative sample of our chats over time and wrote a cover note saying i have hundreds of more pages if they want them. :-)
