Happy Mother's Day too all the mommies and mommies-to-be!

I sent for my notes yesterday. I kept trying to hold off but this is driving me insane. A lot of people heard during the 8 month mark and I didn't - so that was my justification lol. The new online notes thing is weird... I hope I did it right. I preferred the older one. I'm not sure if it's 30 days total or 30 business days until I hear back.

Hi everybody

Well its almost over interview went well, they told me that my marriage is genuine. I the next part is my arc . since I already submitted it since January they only now stumbling on it . so now I wait. Am on the airport and heading back home. I again thank you to everyone for yur support from my wife n I and will feel u with details when I get home.

Hopefully the two months goes by quickly for you. At least you know what is happening and you're not left in the dark wondering what is going on with your application. All the best for a speedy ending to your immigration journey!

Hey guys its been 115 days since immigration canada sent me anything. I have not even received an aor yet. Just wanted to know what can I do to see if someone is even looking at my wife's application. I sent a case specific email to the trinidad office asking if my application was recived, but no response. Could have they lost my application?? Heaven forbid!! I saw that behopeful and fromadistance got their AOR. My wife and I are just getting very fustrated.

Hi Trini...
My advise would be to email them again. I would wait a good 7- 10 days from when you sent your first email and send another. Perhaps asking for your wife's (applicant) UCI Number would motivate them to answer you so that way you can log into E-CAS. I ended up emailing them because we didn't receive any AOR and I sent the email about 2 weeks ago. They responded fairly quickly. I thought maybe because I emailed on a Monday is why I got such a quick reply. Really it's just my theory!
I'm assuming your sent the email to the CSE email and not just the general email for Trinidad. As well be sure to include all information about yourself and your wife in the email IE. full names, DOB, address, phone number, email, etc. and also the file number.

Hi @ Trini100, I came across some stats on overall processing times at the POS office & thought they may be of interest to our thread. I am still fairly new & not sure if these stats have been posted before, so if it is a duplication hopefully the senior members will forgive me in advance . CIC posts and tracks quite a few stats for each VO abroad and they are available to the public at www.data.gc.ca. A bit of context hopefully. Note that 2012 saw the lowest # of total cases since 2007 in both of the categories below.

Stage 2 processing has gone up to 19 months for both POS & Kingston offices.

This is an exhausting process. It is so frustrating and defeating. I understand it is a test and they have to blah blah blah make sure everything adds up. But do they really understand the emotions that they're being lazy with? I can only assume they do. But its just so hard for both the sponsors and the applicants. We're literally losing the prime newlywed years of our marriages (in some cases)... these are the years we're supposed to be selfish and spoil each other before babies and BIG responsibilities. We don't want to be "old" parents so where does this leave us!?!

Hi @Can-Vinc, your ranting is making me feel better . I think most people could cope better if we at least had more transparency and information along the way and the ability for our spouses/partners to visit back and forth. The process has not really kept pace with technology or globalization for that matter. Deep breath and one day at a time. We shall prevail!
