So I'm figuring my husband is going to be asked for an RCMP clearance at some point. He was in Canada for longer then 6 months. Should I have him do his fingerprints inTrinidad now and I bring them back when I come and send off the request. I know it expires after 3 months so am I prematurely doing it? Our application has been in since December 2012.

As long as POS RECEIVES it within 3 months of issue then it won't expire for a full year from date of issue.. so you should be good to send it off when you get it.

@Behopeful -- I actualy just went through this today with the fingerprints thing.... My hubbys country is Grenada so it may be different but they told me they will do the prints but wont send it into the RCMP in Canada, they give him the prints and hes gna have to send it into ottawa himself (or through me)

so got an email from pos today, fter asking me when i was intending to go canada now they were asking to provid the quebec certificat!!they just realised it was not received by there office 2 years ago! so i email it, they replied we will send you your passeport with visa when the visa will be printed....dha!!!
hoping the printer is working and we can get it tomorow!!!

CONGRATS on the new baby, i think you should send the birth certificat when you get it...and as always dont expect a reply!!

its called certificat de selection du quebec, when you want to immigrate in that province you have to apply for it once the sponcership is approuve. it is normaly sent to the ambassy that take care of your file...
ok guys...today i wish for ink in the printer...and electricity on the island!!!

Hey there princess ......i would say to call the embassy and ask them if they got your filed and if you can reach them at all.....just send them a email asking them what you want to find out.....Im not from POS but from kingston, i would say they operate almost the same though...did you receive your AOR letter from cic-mississauga office as yet..why i ask you about that is that they give you your case number/file number so when u contact the embassy you have to sure present it to them on the phone or in your email...i hope this can help you out a bit but some more ppeople on this trhead will sure be along to help you out......this process can take long or short....it just depends on the immigration officers
