As for millslu's problem with someone withdrawing the application (when they really did not). It would not be that hard for his ex-wife (or anyone with info about his past fillings) to have done so, am I right? I mean, a person's UCI does not change if they've dealt with CIC in the past, so all "someone" would have to do is send a CSE with his name/DOB/UCI and say that it's his "wife" and they want to withdraw application. Scary to think about. I'm hoping it will be a GOOD thing for you millslu. Just think, to correct the issue, they have to look at your file.. and hands on your file is a good thing! Maybe if someone tried to mess up the process for you, they really made it faster. Or maybe it was just a CIC error. Ya never know. The good thing is that someone is gonna fix it and hopefully look at your file this week!

I'm pretty sure that to withdraw sponsorship you would need both the sponsor and the applicant's information.

my wife and i biggest concern is not that my uci number is the same but my wifes own is new so they would need hers not mine to withdraw the application. so there is big concern on either cic help line gave a perfect stranger my wifes uci number or the officer didnt follow protocol by checking the letter to see if her number is really on it, other than that we are baffled. so we had our councellor address the matter with a number or faxes and emails and also my wife sent a seperate email.

i feel sad for my wife right now she is shaking so scared, its like so much is happening for the last three months and none of it has been good, first i got seperated from her in december that broke her heart, in january we sent stuff to POS using fed-ex and that almost got lost for a whole week no one knew were it was, then now febuary this B.S and my baby she is so sensitive and am afraid it just destroying her slowly. god cant wait for this to be over. goodnight my peeps

Oh millslu, tell your wife to be strong and that you will be back with her soon. It must be so hard on her with all of these bad things happening, this process is hard on everyone as it is, without the extra stress of things going wrong.

Soon this will all be over and it will just be a nightmare from the past. But for now you have to live the nightmare to make it to the otherside. I hope it will be over quickly for you. If people are looking into correcting the mistake on your file, then hopefully they will just finish processing it while they are at it and it will be over sooner than you think.
