Hello all!

DanAwe: I never contacted POS cause I figured I was still early along in the process. I would give it until the new year because in my case not hearing anything was a good thing! Means they had everything they needed. When I started to get anxious like you...next thing you know we had an interview! I would just hang in there for a bit longer! I know it sucks but...thats all we can do!

My ecas was updated the other day with our Interview date...it took a week! Just to let you guys know!

Canadag:When our application was received in POS we also got an email with the same day it was received in Mississauga. Pretty much the same thing as our sponsorship approval but with POS address underneath. Less work for them I guess!

We had so much steam and enthusiasm going on this thread a couple of days ago.. but it seems to have slowed down. I think because there are not that many people waiting for updates, it is hard to keep motivated by others' progress because there are so few of us.. so fewer of us = fewer motivational updates. However, it looks like everyone is progressing along nicely!
I have been peeping in on the Kingston thread and oh man the updates! I really wish that we were getting that many as well! They have way more applicants in waiting on their thread though, so that explains my theory above.
I am still awaiting my AOR... not so patiently lol.. but I hope my turn will come soon.

Wondering if Zouk is still around? She's my proof that it can be done! The only person I know who has sponsored someone from Dominica.

The average current time between File Transfer and AOR is 2 months, therefore you should expect a response by the latter part of December. Although some do receive a response a little earlier.
My est. timeline are as follows:
Medical sent: 05/20/2012
Application Sent: 06/07/2012
Application Received: 06/09/2012
1st AOR: 08/09/2012
Sponsor Approved: 08/11/2012
2nd AOR: 10/17/2012

Anxiously awaiting further progress!

I am still here! Just preparing everything we need for our interview..fun fun! I can not wait until this is all over and I dont have to go through detail by detail of every paper. Halfmoon!! I have a question for you! Do you know how much a statutory declaration would cost in Jamaica? I just got a quote from a lawyer and it seems rediculous!! They want 80,000 Jamaican dollars!! Just to write up and sign a letter! Thought you might know...

A statutory declaration as in an affidavit? Is it something you can draft up yourself and get a Justice of Peace to Notarize as that service would normally be free or cost very little.

For $80k Jamaican, does it come with the PC and Printer too? I swear.....

Seriously...I should get his whole office for that much!!! I think as soon as he heard my accent (canadian who cant speak patois) he thought he could tell me any amount and I would pay it. Unfortunately for him...I know the conversion rate!!

Unfortunately we need something written by the lawyer. Signatures arent matching up on certain forms and we need a lawyer and not a jp. This is coming from our immigration consultant. Just more crap to deal with!

Anyone hear from Marlon yet?? Hoping his interview went well!

Remember i got an email from POS oct 25th saying my verification officer would contact me within the next week, well a month later and nothing!!! I sent email every week since then and no reply.
16 months and 2 weeks since they have our file...this waiting is truly making me go coucou!
any ideas?

I am not really an expert but I have read on the forum that you can order the notes (forget what they are called) for your application and what steps they have taken. Even if the notes dont say anything insightful...it might put a fire under their ass and get them going! IF it was me I would probably do that! Why was the officer going to contact you? For PPR?
