Congrats everyone @ trinni77 I live in the GTA area.....jobs are hard to come by here they recently had a bunch of budget cuts so they had to let people go so many companies either hiring and payment is iffy or they just not hiring right now......newyz did anyone file common law for their taxes? My bf n I are are at odds if to do so because if he does he will have difficulty obtaining funding for school later on. Any advice would be necessary.

They cashed the bank draft but the lady at the VO said it will be refunded to me since it wasn't supposed to be cashed. The reason why I included it with my pckg was to make this entire process easier but now it's all separate. I spoke to hubby earlier. He sent me the tracking number. The original receipt takes one day to be mailed to Mississauga. Just checked CA post and it's still in transit. Added my email so I'll get a delivery update. Once i receive the delivery update, I will fax and email POS. I will also call the office as well. She gave me a # and ext but no name. *fingers crossed*

Thanks guys. I will await my COPR b4 booking any flights, but I have seen Westjet advertising BIM to Toronto @$200 USD all in for June. Hope I get one of those.I am hoping to land around mid June as I have a pressing engagement here at the end of May.

Hi Champion D

I know you can file your taxes as common law as long as your partner has a job pt or ft. He has to be making money because you will have to fill out his job info.
Also you have to have a lease or document to show proof of a common law relationship .
If none of the above applies , you should not file for him.

Hey Good Evening All,

Haven't been posting cuz i was busy, my wife came and spent Easter here with me and left last week friday AGAAAAAAIN! lukily today i got my call to uplift my passport so thank God. So everything is in and i will be beatin out probably next week or so I want to thank you all for your help and advice i appreciate it. When i arrive in Edmonton (i hear there is extremely cold :'( ) i will post and update. And congrats to all who are getting through and are getting responses from TT, God bless.

I live close to Edmonton and it is brutally cold there in the winters but the summers r usually nice
